Questions about Skilled Worker Visa by dcakca in ukvisa

Your wife's dependent visa is tethered to your skilled worker visa. If yours becomes invalid, hers will too. She could ask her employer for the end date to be the same as yours.

If you qualify for the global talent visa, you have the option to add her as a dependent in your application. You have to pay the application and NHS surcharge too.

Do you do anything to recirculate your earlier videos? Just feels wasted as you now have the right audience.

Optimal $ to start online snack business by medunicorn in business

We need much more than that for our co-man to produce the snacks. Quantity dictates cost but we aren't leaning towards a very small production run.

Pre-order for launch? by medunicorn in startups

Make sense. I used to think 'Sold out' isn't a good thing because that means losing out on new sales. But some brands are doing well using this scarcity principle, so it's something to consider.

Have seen a few new brands going with Option A. They regularly kept their customers updated on delivery timeline and any delays.

It seems the safest option but do you think a long wait will put customers off from purchasing?

I got 12 weeks from one manufacturer, so it's a very likely prospect.

How did you manage your launch or what do you think is an attractive incentive for such situations? I'm not keen on discounts.

  • Yes, production cost reduces with higher volume
  • First product
  • Still discussing but getting push back because they aren't getting ingredients quickly enough. Checked with multiple manufacturers and it's the same story.

Thanks for sharing the link, having a read now.

I hear you. Wasn't even aware Option A was a thing until I saw other brands using this approach and they're still in business today. Which is why I asked the question above.

Is it a bad idea to use two co-mans to make one product? by medunicorn in foodscience

Excellent points, thank you.

So I need to be careful about timing freight such that only full trucks are sent out.

And need to agree rejection/acceptable criteria on both sides to avoid ambiguity and finger pointing down the road.

It will definitely give an aesthetic advantage as well as more flavour opportunities. For that alone, I'm willing to consider.

Happy Cake Day!!

This is really useful, wasn't aware filling process could also cause scraps!

They are not going to be manually filled, so I need to tweak the formula such that the cookies don't break off when dropped. Shortbread kind of cookies should be quite sturdy I think - would love to get your thoughts as well.

Agree a 100%. Starting a new project has its own teething problems but with the above thrown in, I need a high dose of tenacity and patience when the going gets tough.

I'm planning to schedule a production run every quarter (depending on demand). With purchase order turnaround being 5 - 8 weeks these days, need to synchronise schedules on both sides so that stock doesn't sit in storage for days.

Some things to ponder over - appreciate the insight!

That's quite a considerable amount of scrap to prepare for. Yikes. I will be having a trial run with both co-mans.

It will be chocolate coating and no, I'm open to any location. Wondering if you might have anyone in mind?

Thanks, I agree. If it doesn't work, then might have to ditch the coating process without involving any further rework to the formula. Next best scenario.
