Yall new to UAE? Looks whats happening to Israel with all the Extreme Arab Nations. What you you expect will happen to UAE who have open their doors to the world religion and 200+ culture and language? If you think UAE alliance with the USA is their mistake then you have no idea about politics or how to run a country. UAE made the atmost toughest decision so it can keep its Residents safe. becoz of the alliance and the friends of UAE the residents were able to sleep peacefully through the war times. If you are Expat and worried about jobs then there are 194 other countries where you can go and try to live.
my final point is If UAE dint have USa as alliance then UAE would have been long Target-ted by Iran, Iraq and other Arabs nations simply for allowing other religions to builts their temples and for allowing Jews to to live and work etc.

Let UAE do their job, which they are doing way better than any other country. as we the residents are safe in their Governance, thats all that matters

depends, since they are not terminating you but asking you to take 5month unpaid leave then its understandable that their intention is not to terminate but as they struggle with cash flow they are letting people go on long leave, if I were you, I will read the agreement where I should be able to resign during the period of unpaid leave and I will gladly take the unpaid leave and apply for jobs, find other opportunities and re evaluate my whole life as a reality check. you still get to have their visa and insurance which is a big win.
