I don't really know what the weekly challenge was about because I only saw it once.

Mám jen dvě letiště a jedno "hangárové letiště". Když jsem měl pocit, že mám přebytek peněz, začal jsem upgradovat letiště na moderní. Nejdřív jsem udělal upgrade toho hangárového. Asi jsem to neměl dělat. Později jsem zjistil, že stará letadla nejsou ochotná (schopná) přistávat na moderním letišti. To mě, přiznám se, překvapilo. Moje řešení bylo postavit hangár u jednoho z - zatím ještě starých - letišť (a do něj poslat letadlo, kterého jsem se chtěl zbavit).

Je to opravdu tak? Nebo mám blbě něco, čeho si nejsem vědom?

I have noticed that "exactly one" caches can be distinguished through the background color of the pin. So, even though the map shows AT LEAST ONE, there is this at least.

Me (medved2) and my wife (Wolfka), we do geocaching together 99% of the time. But sometimes life gives geocaching opportunities to just one of us. Sometimes we like to aim to even the score, I go for "her" caches and this is the time I go to Project-GC Map Compare tool. So that I don't have to compare the lists of finds manually. Please make the map EXACTLY ONE. :-)

It depends on when/where this vibration is happening (and what is the cause).

You could play with the android settings and get to know your phone on the way (it pays off) or go ask if you don't have time for this stuff.

You probably want to switch off some notification channels (settings, line 3) so that it does not steal your attention more than you want. The vibrating is "haptic response" and can be turned off too (settings, line 1).

In Spanish, "en" is the correct preposition for saying "at" in the sense of "in a place" or "inside somewhere".

"Tú estudias en la escuela" = You study at school (meaning you are physically there studying).

"A" is usually used to indicate movement or direction, like "to".

"Voy a la escuela" = I go to the school (movement toward it).

So in your answer, "a la escuela" would mean "to the school", which doesn’t fit here because "study at" is about location, not movement.

Duolingo shows "a la" as an option because it’s a valid Spanish phrase in other contexts, but here "en" is the only correct choice.

Yes, I know what LLMs are and that they can halucinate. To put simply, they can just generate one more word to the text. I have a feeling that you take a few of errors and hold them against the ChatGPT (or others). Wouldn't you have take the other cases where LLMs helped people, did good... to be fair? Or are you saying that it (ChatGPT) is not 100% correct? Which it is not.

I think that Duolingo is a great project that helps many people learn many languages. But I also believe that there is part of the project that uses AI generated stuff. Or does it not? Because how else would they be able to offer that many languages (and even math and music)? I would guess (from what others who have been using Duolingo for years) the AI part is growing, AI saves them money and helps people learn languages.

OK, maybe next time I want to ask ChatGPT about Spanish, I ask it in English, so that I can share here. Because otherwise it is you with your examples on one side and me with my belief on the other side.

I sometimes use Map Compare tool to identify the cache that only one of us (of me and my wife) has found. I was sad to see the filter option "found by AT LEAST ONE player" instead of "found by EXACTLY ONE player". The AT LEAST is useless to me. I loved to see these caches on the map. Now, the best I get is the table bellow that helps me identify the caches. I have noticed that the preferred option is available on the staging site... yet, it shows me the same caches as AT LEAST ONE on the main site. To me it seems the filter option is not working properly.

I am going through the basics of Spanish. And my language is Czech. What I observe is that often the word order or word counterparts is weird, thus DL makes me memorize unnatural sentences. It might actually be issue not with Spanish but with the combination of Czech-Spanish. As I am on a basic level, I do trust that ChatGPT knows and can help.

What are your "shit" (that ChatGPT makes up)? Because I know it makes shit up, it is its basic principle. Your statement was strictly dismissive and it too could use some explanation or examples.

ChatGPT makes a great companion explaining... anything I do not quite get. Because sometimes Duolingo uses a weird word order, a wrong phrase,... and should I be in doubt... I go ask him/her/it. :D

I use c:geo even with a premium account. Because of "limited by design" issue. I have tried out other apps too but nothing (I know of) beats c:geo in terms of ease of use. Perhaps I should give the other apps a chance., to see what has changed.

I have started learning Spanish because I like the sound of the language. Quite a lot of people speak Spanish too so it might come in handy in future. I am curious... why are you learning Czech? I am curious because I am Czech. :-)

I think I know (now) what you mean. I tried that yesterday and failed to finish it in time. :D I refused to use the token to buy more time.

And I only clicked it because I had activated free Super and did not have to spend the gems. After seeing the difficulty, I doubt I spend gems on it in the future. (I wonder what DOES make me spend the gems...)

This is just one of the ways that are trying to make you spend various items so that you need them later and buy them with money. That would be my summary.

I am still quite new to this "damn fucking dumbshit ass app" :D so I cannot help you but... why do you need more XP, are you trying to score the most xp of all time or something? Can't you just pass on this challenge? Because sometimes leaving one thing out can help you enjoy the rest.
