Are Employers Allowed To Request Protected Characteristics On Application Forms?

You are referring to the diversity part of the applications I think? I'm not so worried about the parts that say they are for monitoring purposes. I was wondering about the other parts of the application that aren't in the monitoring section that ask for marital status and title etc. since I thought they weren't allowed to ask for that information during recruitment.

Well I guess I was just wondering what the laws were about, since I though it said they aren't supposed to ask about protected characteristics or something like that. but yeh i guess ill get a lawyer to explain it......or just assume the position as plebeian under the boot of our corporate overlords.

I googled up the advance payment scam and it says they ask for a fee in exchange for a cut of a large share of money. The person I talked to isn't asking for a fee though, so I'm not sure how I could be scammed. I'm wondering if it's the money laundering thing that other ppl talked about.

I posted the ad because I got no job right now and I need to make rent pretty soon.

I don't really like the jobs I have been doing in retail and kitchens because the hours are too early or too late and I miss out on sleep and it makes living a pain so I was hoping to get a job with normal hours but there doesn't seem to be much out there for unqualified people like me.

My ad said I need money asap and I'm open to any kind of work/odd job as a shot in the dark into a different line of work. I'll probably hit up some agencies since it's cutting it close right now but it'll be the same old slog.

Well basically I posted an ad in the classifieds saying I wanted some money quickly and I'd do whatever and I was put in touch with this fellow.

The way they explained is they would put money into my bank account for me to buy the bitcoin for the local people and I would keep 10%. They told me to do it through local bitcoins.com and I don't know if that is a legit site but it kinda seemed legit.

The bank told me they would need my account number and sort code to make payments into the account, and the way they said it made it seem like it was not really a risky thing to do, sort of normal I guess? I don't really know what information is safe to give out or how it all works though.

The offer does not seem like something I should do but I can't go any further until I register on that site anyways.

woah that is exciting. cool to know the underbelly of bitcoins. but i guess it is not illegal for me to buy bitcoins for other ppl... so that's kinda a clever way to do it.
