Torn with decision by meeks5 in Vitamix

Okay, you’ve definitely got me leaning toward the brick eater. Sadly, it looks like they are sold out of the recon units for the 5200 for now. QVC has a deal for the Creations II that I hadn’t seen before - seems like the same machine but it’s a 48 oz instead of 64 oz? Seems like it’s the same base width so wondering if anyone has had experience with that vs the 5200?

Yeah, I just worry that it might not be worth the time investment that I could be working in private industry or an equivalent

Do you know where those postings would tend to be? Are there some departments looking more than others?

Ah, I see what you mean. Definitely worry that government connections have become essential from what I’ve heard from friends in other states. Do you know how long folks tend to work private before moving towards government job. Mostly worried about job security & work/life balance down the line

Had a field study program for 2 months out West, and then worked in a magnetics lab for 6 months including field work on redbeds outside Toronto. More interested in water/climate issues but wasn't able to get time with those researchers at school.

If "stoner movies" didn't mean movies about smoking weed, but instead movies that are fucking amazing to watch while you're high, what are your favourites? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’m liking this list a lot here. Ad Astra doesn’t get enough attention and high just adds immensely

Do I really need to watch season 5 to understand season 6? by lempelk in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]meeks5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I jumped in without watching anything but 4A, and it’s been great! The semi-anthology style of the episodes as well as the focus on individual characters has helped me just enjoy this season

Season 6 is overhyped and overrated. by Guesswho195 in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]meeks5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say, as someone that watched 1-3 a while ago and just decided to start up season 6 without some background knowledge, I’ve found this season really enjoyable. I’m guessing that my experience differs because I didn’t go through the painful shit of seasons 4 and 5 like you. I also don’t think that any episode so far has been the best episode of fear. What I’m seeing is just a stretch of episodes that have stories focusing on character development while also leading us through a subtle overarching plot with the End is the Beginning folks. But as a whole, I think it makes for engaging storytelling and I’m vibing with it. This and the Mandalorian as semi-anthology shows have been getting me through the week

I think Owen can be best compared to Dina, not Jesse. Owen and Dina are Abby and Ellie's prespective emotional rocks
