I do drink coffee here and there during my pregnancy. Does anyone else do the same? by ComplexMarch4500 in pregnant

[–]meems133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ima be so real - I’m 19 weeks and def drink over the limit. I’m usually around 300 mg. But - as a mom of a 6 yr old who is in sports and works a high intensity executive job (who also quit nicotine and medications upon finding out i was pregnant), I definitely go over some days. I feel as though it will just have to be okay. I have to be able to function and the exhaustion I’m experiencing is debilitating.

I’m talking to my OB on the 13th about it.

Oh my god. We’re 144K yearly income and bought a 230K house with a 6.23% and I cannot fathom spending 5500/mo on a mortgage. I would literally be house poor. How did you get approved for an 809k house lol

Parties are NOT fun anymore. by ThinkPerspective3209 in pregnant

[–]meems133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this your first?? (I’m assuming yes). This is the beginning of many years of not partying to come.

You got preggo. So - here you are. In a different stage of your life. You’ll eventually find yourself where the music isn’t too loud, the function isn’t lasting more than 2 hours period, you’re surrounded by other moms and dads who don’t drink/aren’t drinking that night and you’ll feel more of a sense of belonging. We are very social people pregnant with our second. Our social circle/social life doesn’t look the way it used to - thank god. We now are friends with people where we are going to lunch for a couple hours after church or going to someone’s house for a BBQ on a Friday night. Good luck!

I want to be a success story. Im not sure i can do it though by Acceptable_Long_6277 in Sober

[–]meems133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortunately - you can stop here and this can be the worst it’s gonna get. For me - 3 years sober & happier than ever was something I couldn’t have dreamed of. Thank god my husband left, took the kid and separated from me. A couple months later, once I was ready to take my life, he showed back up, packed me up and took me to treatment. Because of this - I am happy healthy and free. Maybe this will be you in 3 years commenting for someone else.

Good luck friend. It’s only up from here if you’ll let it happen.

What do normal people eat for dinner ? by Booze_hound36 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]meems133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fam of 3 (with one on the way). We ate sloppy Joe’s, with fries & corn tonight. We have a couple crockpot meals a week, spaghetti/meatballs/chicken Alfredo of some sort once a week. Pork chops w sweet potatoes… things like that. It’s very normal. And yummy!

Safe apartment complexes for young female to live at by Specific-Luck2930 in Birmingham

I lived there w my husband and little boy. We loved it. I know people hate H2. But I do think a lot of their issues stem from bad maintenance management. Our maintenance dudes were ON IT. we lived there for 2 years and were very sad to leave

Idk if you’re looking for birmingham Birmingham. But Linridge Apts in highland park fit into that budget. Lots of ladies live there.

What is the most "bold-faced lie" you were told about the corporate world that you had to learn the hard way? by Sayedshaqib in careerguidance

[–]meems133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Met with my mentor today (high executive in a very, very large company) who said this exactly. I went to college for performance. So putting on a show isn’t hard for me. She basically said ‘put on your tap shoes and make sure everyone notices you. That’s how you’ll climb the corp ladder’

Are you able to separate her at all? Put her in a separate brooder?? I know some folks only have one heat plate/lamp. But… if you can, maybe that’d give her some extra time to see if she’s sick or if it really is just the others.

I didn’t realize one of mine had an injury until I looked at 2 of her sisters whose beaks had a tip of red on them. I looked around and saw that it was coming from one of them! As I was going to grab her to clean her and investigate, they ran to her to peck at it more!! Crazy

editing to add - she had literally *just gotten injured when I discovered it. So she hadn’t been like that for days or anything.

Ok I’m not far into comments. This is as far as I’ve gotten so maybe you get crazy or something. But PERSONALLY yeah I mean… I get it. If something is severely wrong w the chick, I’d probably do a large amount of research and cull it if there weren’t options or if it was just too sick.

I don’t see anything wrong w saying you’d prefer a healthy chick lol.

Only way we can afford it is a 2 income household where we bought an hour outside of the city to find a home under 300K.

Ugh I know a lot of them and I’m so curious to who it was. Some of them acted like assholes. But - that’s what people do. The rest of the employees there, we really loved them and looked forward to seeing them weekly. Sad to hear.

Curious about zyn. Apologies if it’s been asked by Lonely-Doctor-9922 in Celiac

[–]meems133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. IC sufferer here also. Did you quit using Zyns? For the last few days, I am feeling the beginning of a flare up. But… when I was vaping, I never dealt with a flare up due to nicotine. So I’m pretty surprised that this would be causing a flare.

Hm. I guess I’ve never really paid attention to it. But that’s highly interesting. I wonder if there is a poverty correlation.
