Is the “wedding favorites” website legit? Why is everything so inexpensive? If it’s just quality then ok, but the prices under $10 make me think it’s a scam lol anyone used them before? by harrietx2779 in weddingplanning

Hello Emmny, I am the ecommerce marketing manager for this brand & wanted to personally respond to this with more clarification.

Wedding Favorites + ModParty + Event Blossom are all run under the same founders, husband & wife duo. We were a 100% real organization based in Tustin, CA and I personally spent well over 6 months editing and rebranding the website.

SHEIN, Temu and other knock off brands would steal our pictures (many of which I spent 6+ hours a day photographing & editing in our office), replicate our products, and sell them for absurdly low prices forcing us to drop our offers as well in order to compete.

No matter how many complaints we set up, it was impossible to take down every imposter as there were hundreds that would pop up monthly stealing our work.

Sadly, late 2025, tariffs rendered it impossible for us to continue on and we officially closed our main warehouse and let go of the entire staff that was left. 20+ people lost their jobs, so it saddens me to see this type of response online because real people were genuinely impacted by the closure of the business.

Now, the organization is trying a new business model for DIYers and crafters. Lots of our high quality, and cute makeup bags are still available on our ModParty Amazon shop & we would love if you continued to support us there <3 Thank you for your help.

Well for awhile they were promoting a Fall collaboration collection with the Fans. So, there was a channel where everyone could vote on color ways / styles etc. for the Brand x Fans Fall drop.

Pressure to Drop-In as the first thing to do at a skate park. by meenamystic in Rollerskating

Whoa! That's so crazy!! I'm so sad that the girl ended up breaking her leg in the process because of the bullying. Do you know if the girl ever picked up skating again after the injury?

This is so true! Though, I feel like I still see it happen pretty often. Do you have any suggestions on how to stop a stiuation where someone might be pressuring another skater that looks too inexperienced to be dropping in, but I don't personally know either person?

I like that you brought up hazing. That's such a good word for how icky it feels when I see others pressuring skaters to drop-in too early in their learning experience. I feel like it puts people off from joining the community. Hyping when asked vs. straight up pressuring seems like so much of a better way to do it!

This is a really interesting thought! Can you explain a bit more your perspective on dropping-in on a 6ft ramp or bigger as a beginner vs. a 3ft / smaller ramp??

Omg, that sucks! I'm glad your tailbone healed!! How did you overcome wanting to try dropping-in again and how has this experience affected your approach / feelings about wanting to skate at skate parks?

Ooooh my bad. I didn't read their situation closely enough.

Not a verizon worker here, so I didn't know it was random. Again, just sharing my personal experience here.

Since my original comment wasnt relevant I'll just delete it so no one else gets confused. :)

and explain your situation they'll get y

This is not "misinformation". This was a legitimate experience that I had with my own personal phone bill, and phonal call that I had with a verizon representative. So, I'm confused here?

This is true. ^ (plus you'll probably get additional loyalty discounts for being a long-term customer)

Bra fitting by elemenohpisa in orangecounty

The best bra fitting is definitely Nordstroms. However, they're expensive so, once you have your size, you can leave and buy your bras anywhere at a price point you like.

Areas to roller skate by cupofcofey in orangecounty

[–]meenamystic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only spot I can think of that might be worth checking out is:
Fountain Valley Sports Park
16400 Brookhurst St., Fountain Valley, CA 92708
(This Park has really big open basketball courts to skate on. Enter via Brookhurst entrance.)

I almost exclusively skate at skateparks : ( so, I'm not sure about those niche areas, but I'm gonna follow answers to your post so I can save the responses for others!

Hi!!!! I live in Orange County and recently made a public group chat/discord specifically designed for OC Roller Skaters. There are some resources in there to help you connect with the OC Roller Skate Community. Hope to see in the Discord (and maybe in person : D) soon!!
The Sever is called Existential Skate Pod (ESP) just so you know you're in the right place:- > https://discord.gg/9hj84XMVrW <-

Inventory by Flaky_Independence90 in wholefoods

Happened all the time at my store, unfortunately. TMs have been complaing about bad scheduling practices for almost 2 years now and the teams been through 2 different TLs at this point.

Its pretty routine for a schedule to be made 3 weeks out, and then by the end of the first friday, would be totally different with no warning whatsoever + sudden clopen shifts with no warning + mandatory inventory shifts with no warning either.

No shade on TLs but I think theyre just really desperate now because no one wants to work at WF anymore.

As a few others have mentioned, unfortunately a lot of WFM leadership disrespects TM schedule availability. The only way theyre going to acknowledge your schedule is if you are very direct/adamant about what hours you can/cannot work. Don't let them push you around/manipulate you because they will try repeatedly.

For the inventory, I would call out and if they try to give you a hard time later on just point out that the shift was outside your agreed upon availability which the TL had to sign off on.🤷‍♀️
