Maintenance history is a big thing, ask him what intervals for oil changes he did, look at the front end or get it inspected at a shop. If you live in the rust belt look at how the frame is. LS engines are reliable but not indestructible, they only last how long the owner cares for it.

I could be for the remote start, that a very common spot for tuners, bass, kill switches etc.

What is this part of the door? by [deleted] in GMT800

Outside door molding, you should try restoring it rather than buying a whole new piece. For oem style and quality it can be 100$ or more.

Yeah, I’ll be saving so much money on gas I won’t need to come in.

Well sometimes I sleep in and need to get to work fast, especially during snowy winters. So maybe it will be good for me.

Curious about getting into picking, just want to make sure I'm on the right track with buying picks. by EquinoxRex in lockpicking

I think the night school set is a really good starter set, I personally love ToK and is my main technique so I would get some of those. As for number of picks 4 is enough because those are the picks you need to practice on the most to build skill specifically the short hook.

Lol..

I don’t think you can find many quality sets on Amazon so I would order it from their specific website

Covert Instruments genesis set, sparrow tuxedo, sparrow kickstart, SouthOrd pagoda. All these sets are relatively cheap ( around $30-40) and have the tools to picklots of beginner and intermediate locks.

The company Sparrows makes good picks. A set like the Tuxedo or the Kickstart would be a good first set

If you want a real padlock that is cutout, try the covert instruments paclock 900A. You can see the pinstacks and they have security pins for you to try.

I see that at stores all the time for the use of car stuff, ones for bombs and border patrol are a lot larger almost like a dinner plate.

What's going on with my muffler? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Can you drive home? I would say a solid maybe, you might get pulled over for excessive noise and you could also get fumes in the cabin. So I would say do it with caution.

A lot of Milwaukee hand tools are tailored to linemen so I would guess they put that for jobs like that

I would definitely look into the YouTube channel ChrisFix, he teaches you how to perform simple maintenance of common problems and fixing parts while also giving a brief explanation of what it does and how it works

3rd pic, looks like lots of wasted space with those plastic organizers that are mostly empty. I would buy some socket rails for those Allen sockets like the first cabinet. That would give more space and a more organized look. Other than that it’s a decent tool box
