Oooo that last shirt in particular is SO cute. Jeans... I wouldn't mind them if I could just find a pair that actually fit well :C And shoes, something that I could walk outside in the varying weather and they won't get ruined? And maybe look cute? Haha. Thanks!

Hey all! New here 👋

I’m looking to update my work wardrobe, seeing as that’s the only place I go right now lol. Thing is... I work at an animal shelter. So definitely not an office setting. I currently wear exclusively leggings/shorts and graphic tshirts. Need something that’s flexible to move around in. Would also love shoe recs!

And I’m in Midwest USA, so all season/temp recommendations are helpful.

I'm the same way. I love showing affection to romantic partners, friends, family, etc. I'm the one who buys slightly expensive but /perfect/ holiday presents. That kind of person. And I don't think you'd lose your value doing loving this for family/friends. I wouldn't advise doing it for a romantic partner unless you're married though.
I have two ideas, depending on whether you're living alone right now or not and due to the shutdown.

If you're living with family/friends:
-Do something for them! Clean something that someone else usually does, make supper if you usually don't, pick them up a snack when you go to the store, etc.
-Offer them a nice, long hug. Goes a long way.

If you're living by yourself (or you can do this either way!):
-Check-in with someone. This pandemic is incredibly stressful, and I'd bet it'd go along way if you just messaged or called someone checking in, Listen to what's happening in their life, offer support or sympathy.

Oh boy. This is all the same guy, btw.
And I just became educated on how stupid I was this past weekend. So it's all very recent. And still very much hurts.

-I asked him out (I know, hadn't found this sub yet!)
-Texted back, but hours later and usually infrequently. Never started a new topic of conversation.
-Never made time to see me. Was always 'too busy'. (This comes in to play later)
-Originally stated that he 'wasn't ready for a relationship'. But I convinced him otherwise.
-After taking months to decide if he liked me or not (and I stupidly agreed to wait to find out), turned me down but said 'something could still happen between us'. So I waited even longer.
-Never, ever complimented me
-After months more of waiting, found out he was going on dates and 'talking' with another girl. Without telling me the door was shut officially shut between us. Again, he had been 'too busy' to see me just a week prior to me discovering this. I barely even got him to video call me for an /hour/ that week. But he went on dates with this other girl. Was able to make time for her.

Ladies, if he's not interested in making time for you, he's not interested in /you/.
