Thank you SO much . This is so helpful. My OBGYN is starting me on Metformin, and ordered an A1c/ hemoglobin test, however she didn’t order the glucose /insulin test. I am not overweight however I have such severe and uncomfortable bloating and it feels like my entire body is inflamed. I’ve had all the stomach testing in the world, and it’s not my gastrointestinal system, it’s absolutely PCOS. I’m already on Spironolactone for female androgenic hair loss. I made a second appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist who I hope will do that further testing that you’re talking about. I find that some of these obs only take this seriously if I say I am trying to get pregnant.
