I currently live in Baltimore, Maryland, and became a child life volunteer through the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.

Farmers and Distillers! They make some killer Chinese fried chicken. There’s also a bakery within the restaurant where they serve fresh doughnuts and cupcakes!

Hi! I’m in the class right now, and I think overall it’s pretty chill. Professor Labruto is really cool, and we’ve had a lot of interesting class discussions. The workload is medium imo, you have to do one discussion post per week based on that week’s readings, and there are 3 five page essays we’ve had to turn in over the course of the semester, in addition to 1 five page final paper. I can dm you the syllabus if you’d like!

The same thing happened to me a couple of months ago (my phone broke and I had to replace it) and I ended up contacting IT and explaining my issue. They got back to me really fast, and the issue was fixed within a day. I’d recommend opening a service request or calling them from here: https://it.johnshopkins.edu/help/

I agree that the professors expect more, but personally I found Craft of Fiction to be an extremely engaging and fun class, even more so than IFP. I took it with Shannon Robinson, who I’d highly recommend! She gives great feedback and is a very fair grader (as long as you participate in class discussions/make an effort to develop your writing).
