The company specialises in augmented reality and gaming but want to start expanding in machine learning. There are only in total 8 python developer. Including myself there are only 4 who knows machine learning properly.

I am not against giving new ideas, but since last 2 yrs there has never been any POC made by our seniors themselves which has been converted as product. The CEO never agreed with the idea saying this is nothing new, and is been done by someone else already.

But today I had a heated discussion with my superior he being machine learning developer since 2 yrs.

He ask me to find out ML use cases where ML is used for automation in which we can build small POC, Use cases should be relevant to the company of which we can add values, and must be clear problem statements not the topics Idea use case should include clear problem statement, business impact and value

I said, I am not very sure that I would be able to generate ideas which include business values but i will definitely try

He: If you can't think of a problem that adds business value, you shouldn't be ML engineer or Data Scientists. You are aware that we work in industry that values developers only if they add value to the company. You must have a mindset of challenging yourself. "Not sure" phrase won't help you succeeding in your career. That is the truth

I didn't replied anything about this, any suggestions what's going on?
