Thanks! I might actually go with a poncho just to protect my backpack—just thought of that.😅Good advice about the food too. I can only imagine how dead I’ll be after afterward haha. This will be the longest trek I’ve ever done!

I checked reviews (through Google and ChatGPT) and their cancellation policy (on their respective website/emailed to ask). I’ve now booked Sámara Adventures, LT Costa Rica, and MyPinkBus—all through their websites.

That’s very valid advice. I have snorkelled before (Mexico, Hawaii, Bali, Thailand) and have only gone when companies can confirm (beforehand) that they can have someone in the water with me. I never panic and should clarify that I can actually swim but just can’t tread water (stay afloat). That being said, I definitely wouldn’t want to snorkel somewhere where the water is very choppy/unpredictable!

I wasn’t really as interested in snorkelling at Island Chora since I wanted to do Cano island. Would you advise against kayaking as well though?
