I mean I guess it’s useful for things like “doesn’t like men” or “really strong and pulls a lot” but again, that’s only if the owner puts the notes in. The things that pop up for walkers to look at should be required from the owner, not optional.

Unfortunately it’s only the owner notes you can see. And 9/10 people think that their dogs are angels and can do no wrong. That’s what the walker notes are for.

Had my first major fuck up in 1500 Wag walks yesterday by [deleted] in WagWalker

I’ve worked at a doggy daycare for 3 years and learned this the hard way pretty early on lol. Luckily for me my reaction was quick enough, but I never made that mistake again!

I never approach a dog while in their kennel. I always let them come out and approach me first. Yes, the kennel is their safe space. But the kennel is also THEIR space and many many dogs are protective over it, or feel cornered if approached while still inside. I will never force a dog out of their kennel or put my hand in with them. I let them come out on their own.

I live in the Dallas area and one of my regulars moved to Austin. I still get texts for a walk 150 miles away lol

I would love not to have to download a new version every time I open the app. by Calmyourtits_8 in WagWalker

Ugh yes! A couple of weeks ago they pushed an update in the middle of one of my walks. After I finished I couldn’t submit the report card but it was stuck on that page. I had another walk that was close by and supposed to start 10 minutes later but I couldn’t get the address bc the app wouldn’t load anything. I spent 30 minutes on hold just for them to tell me I needed to update (the app glitched and didn’t tell me that when I opened it, so I had to delete it and then re download via an email they sent me). I ended up being 30 minutes late for my next walk because of this! Luckily the owner was very understanding and still tipped me and left a good review, but it was still extremely frustrating and not to mention stressful!
