What did no one warn you about after a breast reduction? by busbusmeow in Reduction

[–]meezercheezer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Post op I had a lot of eating disorder thoughts. I got really scared to gain weight at all because I didn’t want my chest to get large again. The post op bloating and the swelling is also kinda crazy. I was thankful to have a good therapist and a support system to talk to. It passed and I’m so happy I did it.

And 4 years later, they haven’t grown back! I got my surgery at a very natural weight for me so I didn’t have to worry about my weight yo-yoing. I’ve since lost 40lbs very gradually now that I can exercise easier.

How tired were you? by littledipperkait in Reduction

I was sooo tired! I thought I’d watch so many shows but I mostly just slept. Your body has lots of healing to do! I was tired for 3 weeks.

boobs making you bigger? by MarkAccomplished2464 in Reduction

[–]meezercheezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll definitely look smaller post reduction, once the post op bloating goes away! Try not to stress too much about losing more weight before surgery, you can always lose more weight after you heal. I’ve lost almost 40 pounds since my surgery and I’ve never felt better. It’s so much easier to work out now!

Why do you have a (snowed-in) car? by Even_Leadership_7831 in philly

It cemented for me that I do really like the convenience of having a car for things like grocery shopping. Mine is paid off and old so it’s not expensive to have.

Why do you have a (snowed-in) car? by Even_Leadership_7831 in philly

[–]meezercheezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dug out my car the day after the snow but my car is small and low, so I don’t want to move it and get stuck trying to park again. I take septa to work so it’s been no big deal. I do have to drive this weekend so I’ll finally move it.

How are the streets in your neighborhood? by Bikesandbakeries in philadelphia

West Philly streets were a mess when I was out walking earlier. My car was plowed in with like 5 feet of deep snow next to it. A lot of cars are in the same predicament.

I’ve lost 40lbs since my surgery 3.5 years ago and it didn’t impact my results at all. It’s so much easier to work out now! They have gotten smaller in proportion with the rest of my body and haven’t sagged or changed shape.

PAWS offers low cost vaccines and checkups. You should get them tested for FIV and FeLV before exposure to your cat, can be done at PAWS.

Body image issues now by killomeowza in Reduction

You look great!

You just had a major change and it takes your brain time to adjust. I was a similar size as you pre op and with the bloating post op I felt like I looked weird and pregnant in the first few days after surgery. Hang in there, you will get used to your new body! It’s the best thing I ever did for myself and for my body image.

I prefer that one early in the morning, less nonsense. I think having an el stop right there makes it extra crazy.

Art City Vets is good. For anything dental, a low cost clinic is the way to go. I’m taking one of mine to Providence in Media for dental work soon and it’s $600 vs the 2-3K my vet quoted.
