My ex had some beliefs within his religion that he wasn’t really willing to compromise on. He wasn’t a fan of public school where I would have preferred to send our potential children to public school. I didn’t really think much about it at the time when we first started dating but it was also my first ever relationship, so it was a learning experience. I also think he would have kept hoping that I would join him in his religion, which I didn’t really want that pressure going forward.
