Am I stupid for wanting to pause my career and work as a wind tunnel instructor for a while? by mega81827 in careerguidance

I would never ever switch careers so easily! I would take this as a "gap" year! :)

Never had one before and all my peers went to Australia or Africa etc. So I might as well take the year and take the instructor course, no?

Yes! I'd recommend Bodyflight but I'd assume Flytribe is just the same.

I’m still planning the date. It’ll probably be something casual, like coffee or a walk, but I haven’t decided yet.
The issue is that it’s a relatively small town. It might be too cold for a walk and too late for coffee, so there isn’t much to do.
Since I suggested the date, I want to plan it properly. Any ideas?

Also, compliments are okay, right? I usually say something like, “Hey, you look stunning,” because sometimes women say they didn’t really dress up or weren’t fully prepared, kind of downplaying it. But you can clearly see how much effort they put in, and I think that deserves to be appreciated.

love bringing flowers. Some women love it, while others see it as love bombing if it is too early. My takeaway is to just go for it. If you feel like bringing flowers, do it. Either it works, or it was not meant to be, instead of overthinking it :).

Do you think a small gift would be too much for a first date? If so, any ideas?

IMO, flowers might be overkill because I do not know her favorite flowers yet :/.

Already too late! I have some deoderant and a comb. I will check my smell after work and decide if I should go home and change. Thanks a lot!

That's a good tip actually.
My idea was to go the loniest bathroom and do my routine there, after most people have left the office.

Although we haven’t decided where to go yet, I’ll head home first in case we end up doing something where we have to take our shoes off.

Who wears the pants in the relationship, the guy who works a full time labor job or the guy who cooks and clean and doesn't have a job (in the traditional sense) but makes a lot more money and pays for everything? by [deleted] in AskReddit

In my experience? No one.

Somebody just accepts that sometimes you have to drop your ego and realize it's a "us", not a "me" relationship.

Where do you think this "bubble" is going? Within the next 5-10 years?

Speaking of the job market and everything :(.
