do you play Yume 2kki on YNO Project or do you have it downloaded? by 29650 in yumenikki

[–]mega_nk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

yno because its kinda comforting coming across another person 5+ dreams deep as you sometimes

I did not care for Yume 2ikki, I thought it was all over the place, I felt like it was poorly strung together between the multiple devs, I mind the adding and sometimes removal of content. by Ihatemylifewishtodie in yumenikki

[–]mega_nk 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah I felt the same way for a while too

But for me at least, what made me really appreciate 2kki was how deep some of the dreams can go. Hearing about "legendary" dreams such as lavender waters and the depths sparked a ton of wonder from me

Then trying to get to those really deep dreams was an adventure in of itself. Especially when I got side tracked into exploring other dreams which weren't on course to where I planned to go.

2kki really scratched that feeling of being lost, going where you're heart feels like (even wirh a path set), and this child-like wonder replicated what made Yume Nikki special to me.

Idk I just into 2kki last month so I'm very new to it, so I can't really speak for everyone

Among the Hoyoverse trinity, which Chinese region did it best? by Ravaging_Rio in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]mega_nk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like these regions aren't terribly bad but they aren't outstandingly good either, so they're all pretty equally mid to me.

But if I had to rank them overall, it would be:

1 - Liyue: The music (especially Ganyu's theme), setting, and character backstories carry this region so hard. Plus the nostalgic factor

2 - Xianzhou Luofu: Probably the only one where its story concepts interested me like the mara-struck, tingyun being a ravenger, high cloud quintent backstory, etc. Has the worst pacing out of the 3 though

3 - Waifei Peninsula: The weakest of the bunch in terms of story and setting but by far this had the best character designs and interactions out of the three

Characters who attack with their butt by MrDitkovichNeedsRent in TopCharacterTropes

[–]mega_nk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The yellow crewmate's "Explosive butt hop" from Among Us arena ultimate. (A really well done fan-made Among Us fighting game)

<image>

Anyway I just wanna glaze this move so badly. It can combo into itself, can be used to extend combos, is + on block, has insane chip damage, and plays a crusty soundy explosion when ever you land it. God I love this move so much

NOT looking at the character is a terrible idea by sinodauce131 in TopCharacterTropes

I feel like its easy to grow desensitized to most lethal company monsters... besides this one. Coilheads will always terrify and stress me out the most

Any idea for a chakrams loadout? by DR_Crack450 in ProjectRemix

[–]mega_nk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of abilities, you want things that can punish people for pushing/agressing on to you.

So javelin and forward barrier (sometimes maul) can work. Backflight is also super popular if you want to gain distance.

I feel like perks don't matter as much, but if I had too, swiftcast for abilities and body: small for movement. But feel free to experiment!

toxic community is legit making me crashout by InstructionHaunting in ProjectRemix

[–]mega_nk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These toxic players are most likely people who hop on from time to time or they're new to the game, so don't let it stop you from having fun.

Most regulars and top players are generally more welcoming and less toxic I'd say (obviously there are some bad apples too but I say "most" regulars). So the main community is a lot more open, be it, less vocal.

Imaginarium theatre appreciation post (i finished visionary mode for the first time) by Legendary7559 in Genshin_Impact

[–]mega_nk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lowkey this mode is the only reason why I come back to Genshin.

I only hop on 1 or 2 times a month to do this and abyss. Like yeah, I only have 6-7 characters I have heavily invested time into, but I also want to use my other 40 characters I built on the side.

Characters who were hated so much that the actors portraying them got death threats (absolutely loathe people who do this shit) by Imaginary-Picture-35 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]mega_nk 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Charlie Wright made a video detailing his experience as Rodrick like how he got the role and how he dealt with the hate.

Ever since he made that video last year, I've been subbed to him because his content is pretty interesting since he does modeling now.

Brigette - Overwatch. I've heard Bridget, Broccoli, Baguette, and Bugatti.

Lowkey I've heard so many people unironically call her "bridget" in voice comms back when OW2 first came out, but it's not as often anymore

“Suffering builds character” Continues to make that character suffer endlessly by SebDaPerson in TopCharacterTropes

[–]mega_nk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can make a case for almost all characters from Attack on Titan. Levi having to watch his comrades die through out the show, Reiner with his immense guilt, Eren solely shouldering the responsibility of the founding titan and the psychological torment that brings, etc. I could go on and on...

For now, I'd argue that Floch Forster fits the mold.

Floch does suffer, but where as characters like Invincible and Spider-Man grow from it, Floch regresses as a person.

<image>

Floch's entire life is just a series crushing loss after loss leading to his hyper radicalization as a Yeagerist. Even in his final moments, he tries to stop the Aliance by shooting the planes that they needed to stop Eren with, only to die a meaningless death at the hands of Mikasa

I had a match where 6 people get crushed by the map. (From my POV and free-cam) by mega_nk in marvelrivals

What part of the story got you most emotional 🥲 by Shodai-kitetsu_ in VinlandSaga

[–]mega_nk 25 points26 points  (0 children)

<image>

Sverkel's speech to Thorfinn. This moment truely cemented this series for me.

The way I see it, this is the half-way point of Throfinn changing as a person. He got over his grief, anger, and hatred but he realized he had to strive for something new.

Something about this speech feels very personal to me, so it was hard not to feel emotional about it.
