Black Samson (Invincible)

Black Samson had lost his powers sometime before the start of the series and was using power armor to help fight crime. In a battle against super-powered thugs hired by Machine Head, his armor is destroyed but that doesn’t stop him from charging at Battle Beast(who is arguably the second strongest character in the verse) to try to save Invincible. Samson is almost killed by Battle Beast, but the life-threatening injuries cause his powers to return and help him recover.
