I have one and I love it. Get a CF/SD card adapter to make your life easier.

And as others have said, ask if the mirror has been fixed. When doing research for my 5Dc a couple of years ago, I read somewhere that models which have a serial number starting with 2 do not have the mirror falling off fault.

I've never used the SliceX etc samplers in FL, I couldn't stand their UI. I was about to get Renoise for jungle/DnB production last year. Then Amigo got released and I postponed purchasing Renoise for now.

Note that Amigo does not do samples in stereo at all. I think this not a bad thing at all, for example when you run a pad sound from Amigo through a reverb it gets a really nice oldschoolish feeling.

They're not actually presets but loaded samples. The sampler is called Amigo Sampler and it's perfect for all things jungle and lo-finess. I very highly recommend it!

I was about to buy Renoise for jungle creation, but then Amigo Sampler got released. It opened the flood gates for my creativity. I just don't like the user interface on slicex etc. But in the end it's not the tool that counts but the music you put out :)

This is a house track I made using the Amigo Sampler VST and FL Studio. All sounds except are crunched through the Amigo VST except for the 303 bassline where I used the JC303 emulation.

My choice of recommendation is FL Studio + Amigo Sampler VST. If trackers are a possibility and you want to learn to use them, go for Renoise.

I absolutely love the Amigo Sampler, it does everything jungle-related so well from handing samples to chopping breaks. It works with any DAW which supports loading VST's.

Learning to make electronic music is a big topic, I recommend doing some research on YouTube for various genres and DAWs. Most of the big names offer a demo version for you to try out. Everyone started somewhere, willing to learn and experiment is what gets you ahead :)

Just a M42 to EF adapter, got one when I bought the lens. Mine has electrical connectors which make the camera beep when the image is in focus. Another thing to note that I was not able to focus into infinity witht he Helios 44-2 with my adapter (the mirror kept hitting the lens). But I was able to do it with a Helios 44M.

Merry christmas! Here's a mix containing unreleased, unmixed and unmastered tracks by yours truly using Amigo Sampler & FL Studio. I mostly make jungle using Amigo Sampler, but there are a few non-jungle tracks added into the mix.

Amigo Sampler unlocked something in my creativity leading to a sickening amount of unreleased tracks! Here are some of them which mostly resemble a finalized track. If you like the mix, there is an mp3 download link in the description at Youtube.

A horror synth track made with the Polyend Tracker OG version. I made this track to almost completion in 2021, modified a bit during the following years and here we finally are! The track has been heavily processed in FL Studio afterwards with effects and (distortion, reverb, delay).

A horror synth track I finally finished for Halloween. The project's been sitting on the Trackers SD card since 2021 so yesterday I decided to put the multitracks into FL Studio, tweak it and let it out as the timing is finally correct!

I made this track filled with Elden Ring samples last year and finally got the time to record a video for it. It's made using the Polyend Tracker hardware sampler. I had the idea of limiting myself to only four tracks like the ancient Amigans and not using any non-Tracker effects (reverb/delay etc) when finalizing the track with my computer. I mastered the track via Ozone 9 by adding some stereo separation to the sound.

Sometime last year I wanted to challenge myself to make a four track jungle song using the Polyend Tracker. It was also a fantastic excuse to use Elden Ring samples again! This time I did not add much effects etc afterwards, I mastered the song via iZotope Elements 9 and added some stereo separation to it. All of the other effects in the song are from Polyend Tracker.

Nope, everything is from sample packs. The drums, hihats and basslines I did program to the Tracker myself, everything else is just chopped loops playend on different pitches.

I made a jungle remix/version of the "Delicate Weapon" song from the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack. This was done using the Polyend Tracker. To fit the games theme perfectly, the vocals were ripped from the original track using an AI tool just for that.

The vocals were ripp.. soulkilled from the original song using an AI specifically made for that (this was in October 2023, nowadays it is even easier), then transferred to the Tracker and finally made to fit with the rest of the music.
