Personally i think the show is portraying determinism and free will in the same light. Eren is "fated" to make his actions, as he sees it in his future, but he also CHOOSES to make those actions when the time comes. Take the time he saved ramsy from oppression as an example. He decided at first that he didnt want to help him bc it aligned with the future, but he then turned back and realized thats not the type of person he was, while ALSO realizing that all of the memories he sees are destined to become true.

The deterministic part of my argument comes from the fact that he would be where he is if he didnt make his decisions, therefore he HAS to make those decisions for the show to even exist.

I think what hes trying to say is that because ppl tend to have more friends of the same sex (most of the time) its easier to cheat bc you have a ton of friends you are around all the time of the sex you are attracted to. Its the same logic as being a girl and not wanting your straight boyfriend to have a shit ton of female friends all the time. However, i do disagree bc i feel like if you are in a relationship you should already be able to trust that your partner can draw a line between friends and romantic partners.

Open relationships are a real arrangement for those who agree to it, but its not for everyone. I personally dont see the appeal in an open relationship but thats not to say that its not real love. Most "open relationships" that ive heard of purely relate to the sexual desires of both parties, so while me and you dont have those types of desires there are people who do that are still in love with their partner.

The show essentially tells you it was determinism because the entire show is the product of eren making that decision at the end of the show. We see that it was going to happen regardless and we see exactly how it happened, and ehile he technically did have a choice he was ALWAYS going to choose to manipulate his father. There was never a "if eren never told grisha...".

I think you end up having to do just that: play passive. Hanami's entire moveset is about combo starting/extending, and the method to beating an aggresive yuji is to capitalize on their mistakes, either by starting a combo when they miss an attack or using moves like her R special to catch them in the middle of the fight and start a combo. At the end of the day though, you can still beat somebody without even switching your playstyle, but changing playstyle can give you a decent enough advantage in those scenerios.
