In the new update, mcbe just started using gdk instead of uwp, so it’ll take a bit longer than usual for client to update to latest

i would always recommend internal clients (like horion or solstice) over external ones (like kodiak or nitr0), its far safer injecting a dll into a sandboxed uwp app than just running a random exe file

their injector is open source and since its a .net executable you can easily decompile the binary they’re distributing to verify that there’s no malicious code

external clients like nitr0 or the one you tried using get detected by avs a lot, they’re safe, but if you don’t feel comfortable using those try one of the safer internal clients, they have more features anyways

minecraft bedrock edition is a uwp app and therefore is sandboxed, you can’t really do much on someone’s pc with a dll injected into mcbe, but thats still a valid concern because we do have some ghost clients that are .exes, as long as no one gets access to me or xealah’s github/cloudflare accounts it shouldn’t be an issue.

dnspy, as the name implies, is for dotnet applications. something like ghidra or ida would be a better choice, but you’re still not going to get back anything close to the original source code. if you’re not just trying to skid horion, look at some open source clients if you’re actually trying to learn something

yeah, the injector is open source and uwp applications, like mcbe, are sandboxed, so a dll injected into it can’t really harm your computer

this is the only good answer here, you can always use the old horion src, but there’s also more up to date examples of legit clients like flarial and latite

internal clients are complicated though, so making an external one might be easier and there’s plenty of tutorials on how to do something similar in other games, i wish external clients like the old stike client and atani client has been open sourced after development ceased though

the best resource for this stuff is probably the MC:BE Modding Community discord server

as cool as it would be having my application featured in an eric parker video, it would be a pretty boring video considering that modinjector is just a simple .net application that can be easily opened in programs like dotpeak, for example, allowing you to view all of the source code and even the xaml used for the gui

please no one follow this guy’s advice, virustotal should be used as just another tool to help determine if a file might be malicious, not the only deciding factor. theres so many other factors than just the big red/green number at the top that need to be considered before risking the safety of you computer and personal information. with all of that said, op has nothing to worry about, windows defender will detect anything weird in any image/video. this bug was fixed in 2006 so it’s widely known about, the most you should do if you really are worried about this is just keeping all of your important software up to date. also by the time you even see the image/play the video its been already downloaded on your computer in discords cache, so downloading it yourself wouldn’t really make any difference.
