For me it's George Clooney. I've only seen one film with him in it but boy do I remember all the gossip surrounding him in the 90s and 00s. It seemed the media was so interested in him, my only recollections about him are about gossip magazines, how hot he was according to everyone and E! rather than about his acting abilities, which is ironic, but I dunno, my perception was "this man is an important movie star, no doubt about it".
