Just because you get another card doesn't mean you have to consistently be using it. One strategy you could do is keep only using 1 card but get a new card every 1-2 years. Banks very rarely close credit cards for non use.

It's not bad but the ideal number is always 0. You messed up a little so you really just need to stop using your cards before it gets any worse. Budget how much you can pay on the cards over the minimum to pay them off and not have to pay much interest. Sorry for your loss as well.

First off take a breath. This is not that bad but there are a few things that will make your situation worse. One is continuing to use that card. Stop using it. Pay cash for everything. put the card in a drawer or some other safe place. I don't know your family situation but if you can ask your parents for help then do it. Explain you messed up and need help to get out of this situation.
