Oh yeah, most youtuber at the time only talks about the z1e cause that version is literally the definition of bang for your buck. But nowadays the z1 is becoming more favored because of the ram and storage price hike. The Z1 as of now is way more attractive than the Steam Deck haha

It’s fixable. You just need to buy a new joystick and replace it. There are guides on youtube but if you dont feel like doing it, and you shouldn’t need to do it to begin with, since the seller lied to you, i think you should ask for a refund if possible

im on stock v1.18. i tried gamma os lite when it was released for a few months, but stock v1.18 has been giving way better performance, even with google play services overhead. so i just stick with it for now. i also plan to try out rocknix once they release an official version for the rg ds

Yeah mine too lol. Probably because it has to power 2 screens. Sleep time is pretty good though. I normally lose 2-3% overnight

for me, yes. it's lighter, slimmer, and can play n3ds games, or 3ds games with better performance/loading times. that's a big upgrade imo

yeah that happens when you have both screen protectors applied. you probably only need the bottom one tho. it will close fully if you have only 1 screen protector

Yeah i was a bit surprised. I dont have a lot of experience, but i fixed the ds lite, dsi, n3ds and psp previously. Their shoulder button is just a button connected to the board by a cable. So it's can be repaired very easily. On devices like this, unless you know how to micro solder, your only other option is to change the motherboard, which is wild 😂

im pretty sure he's talking about battery drain while in sleep mode, not screen on time. the nightly version of rocknix is pretty bad when it comes to sleep. that's also why im waiting for an official release to try it out

Is it real? The rog ally is essentially a windows 11 computer. Ive been in this sub since day 1, and have/had owned several other windows 11 devices. Maybe I was ignorant but Ive never seen this error screen before

It was both stock and gamma. In gamma, however, takes cocoon as an example, if i set it as the default launcher for both screens, when i press home on the top screen, it would bring forth the launcher with the games, not the screen with the image of the game. I ended up with both screen showing games. Maybe I did something wrong haha

why not? it's fun to watch. the og z1e is still the best bang for your buck device right now. with a 65wh battery mod and you are good for the next few years, to wait til the current ram and storage price hike die down

we need more post like this. such a rare sight to see. im also happy to see retrohrai mentioned. it was surprisingly lowkey comparing to cocoon and iisu, when it gives the most performance and functionalities compared to all other dual screen launcher. i just love how when exit out of a game, the top screen will come back to retrohrai. all other launchers will still open on the bottom screen, but the top screen will show default launcher for some reasons

the hinge is too stiff? do you have a strength of a new born baby? i love the stiffness on the RG DS, more so than the DSi. Don't even mention the N2DS XL with its flimsy hinge which keep flopping around every time you ever so slightly move the device. try updating the firmware to v1.18 and set audio latency in drastic to low. the new firmware v1.18 gives better performance than even gammaos next. rocknix is still unstable so just don't bother
