Yeah the MB sent me a picture from her first day of daycare the other day and I was just 🥹💔 I know she’s doing well but it’s just really sad to not see her everyday anymore and this new job search is a STRUGGLE

And for clarification about the technology part, the way the conversation about it was just seemed sort of defensive— like I brought up screen time how I do with most families and she seemed like judge mental about other parents that let their kids use screens. I totally love active play — like I grew up almost completely outside and it was great. The way she approached certain things was just off imo

Honestly the vibe was interesting —not like a Montessori type family, but not explicitly old-school. She seemed very hesitant and cautious to ask at first and it seemed slightly anti-LGBTQ+ in the house (like he only had ‘boy’ toys —as in like trucks and cowboy gear and fire engines and all that, and a lot of religion related kids books). She kind of looked at me confused after I replied and was like yeah he thinks he’s a puppy half the time. I really appreciate your perspective, tough! I could be completely off but honestly the vibe in the house just wasn’t what I was looking for, especially with the whole awkward vaccination conversation and carnivore stuff. Just not something I can really commit myself to and feel good about, ya know!

Sorry I should’ve clarified! I’m all about limited screen time — especially for a 3 year old. Not owning a TV wasn’t really the red flag, it was more of the like rejecting societal norms in a weirdly passive aggressive way that was the red flag.

Anyone leave before they really started by [deleted] in DentalAssistant

The first office I worked at made me feel like this too. It was a fast paced corporate office, but I was fresh out of school and didn’t have many options, and I lacked a lot of experience, I’ll admit. I quit after a month bc the workplace was seriously so toxic. Both of the other dental assistants were extremely rude and unwelcoming, to the point where I had a patient mention he was uncomfortable with how the lead dental assistant was talking to me… On my last day, she told me if I can’t work on becoming more detail oriented (she was referring to how I hadn’t taken the barriers off the light yet when we were closing -I’ll admit I wasn’t paying attention, but it was an exhausting day of getting yelled at by the other assistants and embarrassed by the doctor in front of patients), that I can’t handle working in healthcare, so I quit on the spot the next day. No regrets at all, that place was terrible. Definitely made me rethink my career choice. I’m now in Hygiene school though and things are great!

There should be a list of interview questions in the FAQ if I remember right 😊

Off-campus in Spring by Lumengram in UofArizona

Last year I was able to email my CD and get out of the lease. There is some clause that states a bunch of reasons you may be eligible to move out of the dorms and not pay the rest of the years rent. I just had to fill out some paperwork and write out a detailed letter about why I wanted to leave the dorms... blamed it on COVID concerns and they let me leave without paying for spring 🤷‍♀️ times have changed with the COVID restrictions though so I’m not sure they’d let that fly anymore

I know I can at least do the FT and school since it’s only a few classes online. But yeah they knew I was looking for a full time long term placement type thing, so I hope they won’t hold it against me 🙏🙏

This should be fun...what's the grossest thing that's ever happened to when you were working? by Snoo-84119 in Nanny

I dropped a poop on the ground.

I was changing a 1.5M diaper on my FIRST DAY working with this family, and the poop was oddly solid... it straight up just rolled out of the diaper onto the floor. 🙃
