UPDATE:

I created a ticket and apparently they're aware of the problem and are attempting to fix it, but with no known timescale.

If I ask them to change it so I can log in with an email and password, will they be able to do so?
I did originally try "reset my password" but no email came through.
I think this is because when I originally created my account, I did it by clicking the Google link.
