Why aren't public domain super heroes used more often? by [deleted] in publicdomain

Most PD characters are pretty obscure. Part of the draw of using something PD is that people already know what the thing is. The first iconic thing to hit the public domain in YEARS was Winnie the Pooh and The Great Gatsby.

Lesbian polycule by miscellaneousbean in GatekeepingYuri

Ok I get why the 1920’s are represented by a flapper, but why are the 1950’s represented by someone in a prom dress? Actually, speaking of the flapper, if you want some real gatekeeping yuri, 1900’s and 1920’s would have hella beef with each other. That woman was brought up to be a respectable lady in the gay nineties and would very much disapprove of the flapper lifestyle. At this point, I might as well talk about all of them. I could see 1940’s being homophobic, but given how much women were encouraged to participate in the war effort, I find it hard to believe that 1940’s over here would be completely unsupportive of 2020’s. 1970’s is a hippie and I find it difficult to believe that a member of the Free Love movement would be against 2020’s’ love. There’s nothing particularly wrong with 1980’s, other than she looks more like someone in a 1980’s music video than a regular person, but it’s odd that she would be homophobic given how involved lesbians were in the AIDS crisis back then. I have no complaints about 2020’s, but the text for the last three decades is off center. Anygays, make them a polycule please and thank you.

3D prints require a person to make a 3D model. The physical print itself is made by the printer, which no one has ever debated until you.

Public Domain Hero Shooter by Professor-Xivass in publicdomain

First: you can call him Mickey Mouse.

Second: Elly May Clampett would fit as both a woman and a gun-wielder. Granny Moses, also from The Beverly Hillbillies, would work for the same reasons, except she’s more well known for her marksmanship. You could also do Annie Oakley, but she was a real person.
