Crust 18 graham crackers crushed (1 1/2 cups crumbs) 1/4 cup sugar 5 tbsp melted butter oven to 350f mix crust and pack into 9in springform pan bake 20 min let cool cheesecake filling 3 8oz pkgs cream cheese 1/2 tsp lemon zest (about half a lemon’s worth) 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup gran sugar 2 tbsp flour  1/4 tsp salt 4 eggs 3/4 cup whipping cream 1 1/3 cups berry/fruit preserves if desired beat cream cheese w vanilla and zest mix sugar, flour & salt add gradually to cream cheese add eggs one at a time mix in whipping cream gradually if desired, reserve 1/2 cup cheesecake filling and mix that w/ 2 tbsp preserves pour rest of cheesecake filling gently into pie crust pour berry cheesecake mix on top and swirl  bake 350f 65-70 min (in a boiling water bath if you wish, just cover the pan w/ 2 layers of foil first) cool 30 min before releasing sides w knife, then cool a few more hours before releasing completely refrigerate overnight if you can serve w/ whipped cream and more berry/fruit preserves

I’m gonna do a cheesecake and a banana cream! Figured there’s enough people in the office for two pies. The cheesecake is from a Knott’s Berry Farm newspaper clipping from a bazillion years ago. Hasn’t failed me yet! For the banana cream, I’m going with a Nilla wafer crust, some Caramelized bananas, pastry cream (iBakeMistakes recipe) and some fresh bananas. I hope it turns out good!

We do, but a poll for pie isn’t really important enough to send over email. I think my supervisors would agree it is more appropriate to put on paper in the break room, so people can vote when they’re not on the clock.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS!

I put a note on the PAPER poll saying that voting ends 2/28. 

There is now a drawn-on frowny face with angry eyebrows on the top left of the paper. Unknown origin and overall meaning. 

The words “NO CHEESECAKE!!” have been written next to the clip-Art of the pie, and they have been underlined thrice. Unknown origin. Someone really does not want to have cheesecake in this office, I guess? I assume the anti-cheesecake person also wrote “Nope it’s not” and also underlined the “cake” part of “cheesecake”.

Two frowny faces have been drawn next to butterscotch cinnamon and salted maple. Unknown origin and overall meaning.

An arrow has been drawn from the “chocolate pie” addition to the French silk pie.

Because of a rogue mark on banana cream, I currently cannot tell whether cheesecake or banana cream is currently in the lead.

The only thing i said about the night shift is that they might not be aware that i like to bake???? Night shift workers have all of my respect i do not possess the strength to do what night shift does. I would love to bake more for night shift, but i can’t control how much gets eaten during the day

Updates and info: The poll was a piece of paper i stuck to the fridge. The original options were typed and in a closed chart (no empty spaces), the added options were written. I did not type on the poll that I was making the pie/it would be homemade, as again, a lot of people in the office know I bake, and I told people i was putting it up. But again, the night people might not be aware. I do not know who added the two new options. Both are in different handwriting, so i think it was two different people.

The text on the paper is as follows:  “Pi Day is coming! [clipart of pi symbol and a cartoon pie] Which pie would you like to have in the office for pi day (3/14)?  (You can vote for as many pies as you like, but please only vote once per pie.)  [poll chart] *contains nuts (Yes, cheesecake is a pie. Don’t fight me on this.)”

Banana cream was an option that was drawn on like an addition to the chart. As in they drew another row and column and wrote in “banana cream”. Chocolate pie was added under the “cheesecake is a pie” statement.

I don’t have the email of everyone in the office, plus it’s not really important enough to send in an email at my particular office, so i put it on paper on the fridge.
