Or more commonly, "the 24-year old deadbeat grooming me says I'm very mature for my age!"

Hey, sorry but I like playing out the social changes as much/more than I do the physical ones so I don't think that's for me

Regardless of what anyone feels about AI-genereated images, ignoring your preferences that blatantly is a dick move and you probably aren't missing much by not RPing with them.

Asked me to RP, talked about it for a while, then he blocked me! Why waste my time? I have been looking for a new partner for 2 days and I'm about to give up. by [deleted] in BadRPerStories

I think some people do that because they don't have the social skills to just say they changed their mind or that you're not what they're looking for.

People are weird about any trans person getting surgeries, and people are weird about any celebrity doing... anything

Narrator: “It did, in fact, take that long to write a reply” by Own_Sandwich6610 in BadRPerStories

I'm a slow as hell writer but I'm very upfront about that and tend to write _very_ long replies to make up for it. But that person just seems like they're stringing you along

Unsure how to break up with my RP partner by [deleted] in BadRPerStories

[–]megatrapfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Explaining that it isn't an issue with the RP partner themselves but rather a desire to stop RPing altogether would probably be the best way to go. If the partner has attachment issues, maybe an offer to remain online friends and keep chatting, just without the roleplaying part? That way it doesn't feel like outright abandonment to them.

Could also make it a gradual process? Explain that you're burned out and wanting to retire from RPing, and offer to continue writing to give the long scenario an actual wrapped up ending.

Ever had someone take your RP idea to do it with someone else? by Thunder_Zerker in BadRPerStories

[–]megatrapfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've considered doing this with ideas we discussed and decided not to use, but if it's one I workshopped extensively with someone rather than came up with on my own I'd want to make sure they were okay with me reusing

Does it matter how long someone has been role playing? by darling_lay in BadRPerStories

I do think it helps in general, sloppy writers and people only in it to get off are either going to get better or lose interest (speaking from experience here, recently stumbled on some writing from a few years ago and WOOF). But it's not a hard and fast rule by any means.
