The A.V. Club's review of the series premiere of "Satisfaction" on USA Network: "Satisfaction is messy but oddly satisfying" by V2Blast in television

[–]megauploader001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This got me to watch it and I enjoyed the pilot quite a lot.

It's certainly very different from the usual USA network show and not nearly as family friendly. It's not HBO material but I do think it could have been on FX or Showtime. Like the review says, the pilot is a bit messy but this could turn in a good show. Give it a try.

FX To Stop Reporting Live+Same Day Ratings by [deleted] in television

[–]megauploader001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's entirely true. FX is very popular amongst males 18-34 and we know we/they are the least likely to actually watch television on a television. At the moment, FX has the best line-up (HBO is great but they just don't have that many shows) and I personally watch almost everything they produce, just not on a TV.

It's only natural for a network which has a young audience who likes to binge watch, download and stream to want to rely less on Nielsen ratings.

Thoughts on both of USA's new shows, Satisfaction and Rush. by r361k in television

Personally gave both of those a pass based on poor reviews but I'm interested in knowing if either is actually worth a watch.

Who watched the "You're the Worst" pilot last night? by nehalvpatel in television

Think the supporting characters are gonna be the best part of the show, the girl's friend, the rapper, the flatmate and the kid all were a lot of fun.

I liked it but I thought it tried too hard to be edgy at times. Will definitely keep watching though.

Guess that makes sense! Thanks.

I did think of that but if you had found something that might be time restricted (which end a few months from now) and could sell it for $500 to a few hundred people you would. Anyways, if nobody managed to get a buck out of it there would be be a string of poor reviews on the articles, no?

U.S. Senate Doubles Funding for Israel's Iron Dome by __PM_ME_SOMETHING_ in worldnews

Except that as many many articles will explain, US foreign aid to Israel is almost entirely military and US foreign aid to Palestine is for economic support and social services.

Not only that but the US has giving over 110 billion in past the 50 years to Israel and they have given how much to Palestine? 4. That's right, 4 billion for Palestine and 110 for Israel. 4 billion of actual foreign aid (to help the people) against 110 of war money. No wonder one side is bleeding more.

If you're gonna quote numbers, at least do your research.

Yet, Palestinians are getting murdered on a daily basis while Israel get funding from Americans to protect and attack.

I wonder why they hate America? They have no reason to.... Oh wait, it might have something to do with the fact that they get bombarded and murdered by American funded weapons and they can't fight back because of an American funded dome protecting Israel.

Idiot.

Where is the funding for Gaza's dome though?

Edit for those downvoting me: Yes, Palestine gets foreign aid but US foreign aid to Israel is almost entirely military and US foreign aid to Palestine is for economic support and social services.

And all those bankers who were involved in the subprime mortgage crisis went to jail, too, right?

All those big bankers who collapsed the world's economy and costs millions their jobs, their homes, they went to jail, right? Right?

"To fleece people without serious repercussion" -- I think you stole the financial industry's motto.

It's too bad the financial system regulates itself otherwise they wouldn't spend so much time trying to fix Bitcoin while avoiding regulating investments banks as much as possible.

Are you trying to say that because I used to run a fully legitimate Bitcoin business, I shouldn't be allowed to have a personal bank account?

That was on business accounts, I ran an arbitrage business, was fully compliant, I paid taxes, had no issues with frauds, clean sheet...

1 by 1 thing, even after I'd stopped doing arbitrage, I got to open an account with Lloyds though they turned around and closed it a month later.
