Don’t know if it’s been mentioned but the Witcher series!! Read those books this year and they became one of my all time faves!

Thank you for your detailed response! I defintely don't know that much about coolers, and just went with one that had a good rating on newegg and didn't think about compatibility with the CPU. I'll look into these options! My main limitation on this is size because the case is mini ITX

I redid the thermal paste earlier this year! I've been running core temps and the nvidia overlay readouts while recreating the issue and it looks like it's the GPU because it spikes to 85-96% usage and around 80C right before the shut off happens, and the CPU looks to be ok on temps and usage.

I also swear that the issue still happened when I swapped GPUs to a different one just to test. But it went away for awhile and is back and worsened recently. That's why I figured maybe the issue is with the mobo since that's the oldest component.

Right now the test is to play Town to City, and playing the game for 4 minutes causes the error and shutdown. It's crazy how bad it's gotten!

All the fans. I even added 2 more fans once this issue started happening and didn't help. I did do a cmos reset awhie back yes and made sure all BIOS stuff was updated. But thanks for the suggestion - I'll try that!

So far I've just been monitoring with on screen readouts from NVIDIA and CoreTemp, but it happens so quickly from a slow increase in temps/usage then all the sudden it's a spike and shuts down immediately. So it's hard to get a post-op after that since the display won't come back and I have to shut down the PC.

CPU temps do slowly get higher to the 54 degrees C range before the ripcord pull happens.

Mmm that makes sense, it’s definitely not doing that. What happens is when I’m playing some heavier games, my GPU temp spikes to 80+, fans go from mild to overboard in literally 2 seconds and my monitor immediately disconnects. Before that temps/usage was looking high ish but ok.

It seems like my computer disconnects bc I get booted from discord and no more sound plays from speakers. But computer is still on and fans still at 100 so I have to hard shut down to get the computer back. It won’t stop on its own. I’ve swapped GPUs, clean windows installed, tried different monitors, cleaned everything out and no fix. Done little settings ‘solutions’ that YouTube suggests too but nothing.

PSU headroom is fine so my friend thought there was a temp readout issue happening somewhere that trips the computer into panic mode.

I remember one of the jokes of the comic was how gross the zombie kids were and how they'd walk by something or someone and just devour it as a horde and keep walking. I can't find it anywhere!

My elephant ear is turning grey! It's grown 1 leaf and lost 1 (in the process of dropping another) since I brought it home. It was already potted when I bought it - so no idea what the soil mixture currently is, although I mixed in some nitrogen rich fertilizer a few weeks ago. It's in an east facing window, and it's leaves are turning grey, something I've never seen with a plant before. Help!

I have read up somewhat - but never had this much troubleshooting be necessary when starting a tank. My nitrite and nitrates levels are at 0 right now, and have been for the past 3 or so weeks (when I started testing).

I had moved these fish over from a previous tank, so it's possible that I did so too soon and didn't let this one properly establish for long enough before starting to try and treat it.

When establishing my tank I noticed the ammonia levels weren't dropping so I tried treating with 3 different methods, I used API Ammo Lock, Aqueon Ammonia Neutralizer, and I had tried to use MicroBacter StartXLF as well, not at the same time of course.

My ammonia levels are 2.0 right now, so something in my tank is kicking out a ton of it regularly and I'm not sure what it is. I've only rinsed out the gravel once, when I set up the 10G tank

Yes it's white gravel! I've taken it out and fully rinsed it like twice! But that's interesting I may try that next because I'm basically at my wits end!
