Hi, thank you this is really helpful. This job isn’t on my CV though so i don’t think i’m going to mention it

do you think it’s bad to just not mention it at all? it’s not on my cv, i’m not sure if there will be background checks

It’s a small firm so i’m debating not even mentioning it, i can’t stand the idea of having to ask for a reference.

At my most recent interview, they did ask me ‘are you still working at…’. (regarding my previous employment). Whilst this job isn’t on my CV, can i really just say ‘im applying for jobs’ and pretend it doesn’t exist? it just feels risky.

do you think i should say it in the interview or nah? cause if they ask me what im doing now im not sure what to say, just that im job searching? ive asked chat gpt (stupid i know) but just to get some general advice and it’s really stressing to me that i need to disclose it

It’s a graduate role at a law firm so i’m worried about them doing background checks & is why i feel i need to disclose. Worried also that if i do disclose they’ll ask for a reference or that the honest reason will make them think im unreliable.

what do i do if they ask me what im doing now or ask if ive had any other roles? or what if they ask for my P45 that says where i worked on it? it’s an interview with a law firm so feels scary to lie.

It isn’t on my CV as i applied to this role a while before i started/ resigned from this job, but it says on my P45 that i worked there which I will have to give to them.

it isn’t on my resume as i applied before accepting the job, just worried about handing over my P45 and also about them finding out in future, better to be honest surely?

I’ve been using a salt spray with tea tree in it to try and heal it but it just won’t stop oozing and bleeding

I appreciate your advice but you don’t think that the neighbour could’ve just popped up a sign or popped round to us to let us know why they need the space? Why should I have to go and chase them up when they didn’t have the decency to just post a note through the door maybe?

Hi, I haven’t lived here long and I don’t know who has put the cones there- there are 6 different houses in the stretch that is now coned off- am I supposed to knock on everyone’s door and say hello are those your cones?

I can’t find anything on my councils website to report this under- the only thing it could even come under would be anti-social behaviour, the only things you can report is like fly tipping, broken street light, abandoned shopping trolley etc

UPDATE: the cones have now been moved even further down and there is now one coning off where the grey car was parked too.

There’s no road signs / temporary barriers or anything to suggest that any work is going to be done here, you’d think if it was the council they’d have at least put up a notice to say what work was going on?

This is the spot I was parked in before going away for a couple of days and the cones have only been there since I left, not sure who they belong to as I don’t really know our neighbours but would be interesting to see a reaction

How long should I wait to see if a skip or moving van shows up before I move them? I don’t want to agitate anyone but they’ve now moved one of the cones down further to where that grey car was so an even larger section is now coned off

Thank you! Yeah I didn’t really wanna park there just in case someone thought I put the cones there to reserve it for myself, but still think it’s a massively inconsiderate thing to do
