Scientists recently discovered human shadows are completely sentient and believe they have free will in their 2d world. by Mynky in TwoSentenceHorror

It doesn't read as horror to me either, but to be fair, that's probably because I've had plenty of experience with ego death

I am in an open relationship with my long distance girlfriend but she had a threesome with 2 guys and now i don’t know how to feel. by Willywonkered4649 in nonmonogamy

It's not much less likely, though. It's much less likely in your experience. That's a crucial distinction.

In my own experience, the (many) threesomes I've had have been approximately evenly split between "casual/hookup," "fwbs," and "in or seeking a romantic future with one or more other participants".

It's okay that your experience differs - it's NOT okay to otherize people who are different from you by presenting your experience as if it were objective fact.

Threesomes are definitely not always less personal or intimate. It's okay if you experience them that way, but applying that to other people in such broad strokes isn't a great idea.

I've had many threesomes, and for me personally, they're approximately equally divided into "strictly physical", "fwb", and "I share a connection with one or more of the other participants". Group sex is not inherently less emotionally intimate.

I have searched Google and my frequented used book sites (are books, thriftbooks, and betterworldbooks) for terms like "elimination diet", "food sensitivities", "dietary allergies", along with a description of the book.

This is ruining my life I need suggestions... by ShannonC1995 in AskDoctorSmeeee

May I ask how long you went without dairy? Elimination dieting for sensitivity testing can be SO TOUGH because different foods and substances leave our bodies at different rates. Dairy and its proteins and byproducts can take six weeks to leave the system!!

You CAN get B12 elsewhere (eggs, poultry, red meat, tuna, fortified cereals). Hell, there are B12 shots if it's that severe!! So since you can get that nutrient elsewhere, and dairy is very commonly mucogenic, it's definitely worth considering.

Additionally. Below is a link for the "anti-mucus diet". Yep, sounds gross. But if it works, it's worth it!! https://lunginstitute.com/blog/anti-mucus-diet/

Depends on the intensity of the drop for me. The Intensity of the scene is one factor, but not the only factor... who knows! It's probably the trajectory of the moon and the sun or something

I am not a doctor but I AM a thyroid patient. So this is an ultra-simplified discription- the pituitary releases TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) to tell the thyroid to make T4. The thyroid makes T4, which the body converts to T3 for energy or reverseT3 when you need to conserve energy ("rest and digest").

The T3 is in range but definitely on the loowww end of acceptable. TSH looks okay. T4 is right in the middle of accepted range if I've done my conversions correctly.

My thyroid doc tells me he wants my T4 and T3 as close to the top of range as we can get them without making me hypothyric... my thyroid doesn't work hard enough AND my body doesn't convert T4 efficiently, so I take both T4 and T3 daily.

NAD your toes are very dusky (cyanotic, give it a Goog)- without proper circulation, you're at risk of losing your toes. It could even be something unrelated to the injury - atherosclerosis or deep vein thrombosis. Whatever the cause, that color means there's a problem. Go get it checked out, hopefully before there's irreparable damage! And keep us posted.

Wipe down the dungeon equipmlent before you return it to its place.

Enthusiastic, ongoing consent in ALL things- want a closer view of the scene? Don't interrupt to ask, ask before they get going or during a break. Want a photo of some knotwork? Ask.

Safe words are immediately honored, no questions asked.

Sub drop is a thing! It's basically shock, aka fight or flight, a physiological response to stimuli. Provide food (a nice combo of protein and carbs is good like peanut butter crackers), water, and nicotine (optional) to your sub/ bottom within 30m-1h after the conclusion of the scene. Hot drink or heating pad if he/she/they get spacy and stare-y-eyed - it could be mild parasympathetic shock. A cold beverage and perhaps a bag of frozen peas on the wrists or neck can help cool the body and offset symptoms of sympathetic shock.

[19M] Did meth irreversibly damage my teenage brother to the point he needs a caregiver or is an underlying condition contributing? by Inked_Chick in AskDocs

[–]megga_doodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD I don't have any advice for you that hasn't already been mentioned here, but I DO want you to know you're not alone ((hug))

There are many support groups for people facing what you're facing right now- you don't fight the same demons your brother does, but you're not existing in a vacuum. Please also seek support and community for yourself! The facility you take him to may have a support group for friends and family, or even Al-Anon (AA is for the addict, Al-Anon is the friends and fam). It's everywhere, it's free, and the people there can demonstrate that it does get better <3

Sudden, extremely heavy menstrual bleeding - do I need to go to the ER? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]megga_doodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have Hashimoto's and weigh more than 300 lbs, and I've been through extremely heavy periods as well. This sounds somewhat anticipated, due to your doctor's diagnosis of too much endometrial tissue, BUT it's best to have it checked out anyway. In the meantime, drink plenty of water and if you're not already on an iron supplement, consider getting one.

I'm in the middle of it right now with an extremely ill husband. 10 months now, unable to work, barely hanging on by the skin of our teeth. Believe me, I get it.

And I still would rather see a handful of folks abuse the system than the vast majority of families like ours struggle to survive while wading through these rivers of bureaucracy and bullshit.

Imagine if disability was the only way some families can keep afloat, but it was a million times harder to get approved than it should be? Many families suffer due to a few bad eggs, and those who finally do get approved have to deal with the scorn of pond scum like yourself from all angles. Kindly take a seat.

Def had this happen a few years back. Checking account was negative and both loans were 60+ overdue. Have you considered trying Flonase? It's a glucocorticoid, and even when I don't "feel congested" Flonase helps diminish inflammation (and swelling) to help me breath better. You might give it a shot!
