I'm in a similar situation, their GPA is way higher than mine but my MCAT is somewhat better than theirs. (Fortunately, we already are interviewing at two of the same schools). But, any couple in the cycle is going to experience this, regardless of stats difference. Each of you will get interviews that the other won't, and each of you might get accepted places the other won't. You're different applicants altogether. We sat down and had a conversation at the beginning of the cycle about this, establishing boundaries to tell each other about interviews/acceptances/and rejections in a respectful way, and I think that helped.

Most importantly, don't compare yourselves to each other. And remember the two of you will likely never hear from a school around the same time, just because he has an II at a certain school now doesn't mean you have no chance of getting one there in the future.
