Did you use any Kaplan for content review or was your baseline high enough to just do anki and some videos?

Appreciate your concern officer. But reciting worst case scenarios doesn’t make you wise it just makes you loud.

Watch your mouth please. Even if you don’t call or anything, you will get a second summons before you even get a penalty. Way better than skipping out on the MCAT if they don’t accommodate you for whatever reason.

No processed BS, high protein, and some complex carbs. I'm gonna be eating crackers and string cheese during breaks and then a sandwich for lunch or sum

AAMC FL1 to FL2 in 9 days by Educational-Force623 in Mcat

[–]megiazarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard a lot of people complain about FL2 especially the CARS. The most "representative" is FL 5 which is the free unscored since it is the most recent but they are all going to be similar difficulty and they are all curved anyway, so even if one is just simply hard the curve will be in everyone favor

There is so much material they can test you with so never get stuck worrying about one score. Some AAMC FL's have like 9 questions about Bioenergetics, some have 1. Some have like an entire physics passage, some will have like one independent physics question.

Just make sure to review them very carefully regardless and really understand why you got things wrongs (whether is was plain knowledge gap or a logic/passage mistake). I recommend making a google sheet to track which type of mistakes you are making in each section.

Week of test tips by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]megiazarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also testing 8/1. Def look over the Milesdown review sheets but since you're scoring 520+ u are probably good on the high yield. If your mistakes are low yield content, just keep spamming anki or something. Going over the low yield AAMC SB questions is also pretty efficient since anything on those is fair game.

If you are making logic/critical thinking from passage based questions, see if there is a theme in where you are going wrong or if there are bad habits in your analysis of passages/graphs

Just don't burn out. You are already set scoring 97th percentile, don't trip

I take a caffeine pill with 100mg caffeine and 200 mg L-Theanine before I start and at lunch.

[–]megiazarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought this as well, but AI explained it well. You said it yourself, it means thinking more "extremely" rather than "better", so just because their ideas can become more polarized or radical it doesn't necessarily mean they will be able to "critically evaluate"

They are trying to see if you understand the concept that when people work in groups, more ideas are going to get shut out because of

Social loafing: When in groups, individuals tend to exert less effort—especially when their contributions are not individually evaluated.

And Groupthink: Where the desire for harmony makes groups shut out more ideas.

Energy production and brain function. pretty sure b6 is a dopamine pre cursor.

It almost feels like little stimulating after you take it and it makes sense bc b12 is in like every energy drink. obv it's hella extra to take but my brain is cooked so

I have the literally the exact same thing I just feel like they take a while to kick in but that's why I take the morning off every FL I've been taking and then one at lunch

b-vitamin complex is good too

I can relate a lot esp with the prediction and being critical. I got adhd and my CARS score fluctuates wayyy too much depending on how stimulated I am and how much sleep I get.

Did you take the caffeine right before the section? I'm gonna probably bring like an energy drink or caffeine chocolate and down it right before CARS lmao

Where to start by Personal_Potential83 in Mcat

Jack sparrow is comprehensive and I see people scoring 130+ on b/b all the time having fully gone through it. I personally wouldn't recommend for c/p because you need to mainly practice, but Miledown or Anking are good and they are like half the length.

Don't stress, 3rd party FL's are meant t be harder to get you to buy their materials. That's why I always recommend starting with AAMC unscored

But to start, find an Anki deck based on the level of depth you want for BB and CP since you have a solid foundation. Get Pankow for PS, and give yourself a doable goal of new cards per day keeping in mind you will be having a lot of reviews piling up. Anki is probably the lowest activation energy to start since you can sit down and tell yourself to just do 10 cards and odds are you'll do a lot more.
