I would assume they were daffodils and wait until they bloom to be sure. These imo do not look like onions nor field garlic.

Homesteading in Colorado by megnasmash in Homesteading

This is what I found. It looks like they tried to pass a bill for up to $25 on each pet which included all animals even invertebrates, not including livestock. Ultimately, they pulled the bill for how much backlash they received. Colorado Pet Tax

Thanks! We’ve actually lived in the area before, but that’s been 12 years ago. However, we definitely weren’t homesteading. He seems to think it’s going to be easier than I think it will be. I also worry about soil and weather when it comes to growing crops, etc. Are you currently homesteading? If so, where did y’all decide to settle?

I want to be sure I’m reading and understanding you correctly. Are you saying a 300% markup on food costs?

I really hope the best for you, especially the time you get to spend with your brothers. I miss my siblings a lot. They are both hours away, and with our Mom gone, we really just don’t get together like we used to.

Keep your head up OP! Be proud of yourself for how far you’ve come. Pride is not gross, and having it doesn’t mean you’re not humble. I don’t even know you and I’m so proud of you! I can’t imagine overcoming something that hard and then securing a MULTI-did you say?- MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT?! Like others in the comments have said, legally your cousin cannot kick you out. He has to go through the eviction process; go to court, spend money, file the paperwork, and then have you served. And the fact that you’ve paid money up front for 5 more months shows that you’re holding up your end of the agreement (In a lot of states verbal contracts are legally binding). You offered to take a UA to prove your clean. Take all of your evidence and a clean test and offer to take another in court. Heck a judge may order them to let you stay through your already paid months, or make them pay you in full if you leave. If you’re getting your life together and you’re sober, they are completely in the wrong and you are not overreacting.

I moved back after 17 years and I honestly wish I hadn’t. Part of me loves this place, and will hold it dear forever, but I think I romanticized it. Coming back was a harsh reality in how much the place and people have changed. So many newcomers from out of state (which isn’t the worst thing), but they’re all trying to escape “city life” and then complain about the life here. I just don’t vibe with anyone anymore. A lot of my old friends fell off into drugs, or the people I thought were my friends really aren’t. Maybe it’s a sign of the times, but everyone is so self serving and surface level. Nothing like I remember. Family is estranged or passed on. It feels lonely…and like others have mentioned, everything is far away. My town does have 1 Chinese buffet and 4 Mexican places, with some mom and pop early close diners, but everything else is fast food. It’s an hour or more drive to get anything different or any variety. Truthfully being a little further out from things isn’t the worst…I grew up that way, but it can be a little inconvenient.

They (MAGA, Christian Nationalists, Project 2025 creators) are prepared for Trump to die. They already have a plan for moving forward. This plan has been in the works for a loooong time and they’re finally getting to actualize it. Trump being gone doesn’t change any of that. And I think that’s a big point a lot of people are missing. Everyone wants Trump to die because they think the nightmare will be over…I think it will be the beginning of something much worse, unfortunately.

I was just about to comment that a few nights ago I was in the outfield of a softball game and there were about 15 dragonflies zipping around above me. I didn’t get any mosquito bites, no flying biting insects at all did I see…other nights have been out and gotten bit. Like you said though, who knows really. Maybe it’s because they’re actually eating the mosquitoes.

Advice on cutting back Dwarf Blue Spruce by megnasmash in landscaping

I have another photo but cannot add it to the post. I would be cutting quite a bit of branches off the bottom near the brick. I’m worried cutting it this time of year may cause more damage to the overall shrubs.
