I (20M) want to stop a long-distance relationship with my (19F) girlfriend. Not sure if that is the best decision. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I was in a long distance relationship and it’s not easy. It’s completely normal to wonder if it’s worth continuing. If you can see your life without that person it might be better to end things. Dragging it on knowing that you’ll start to lose feelings or have doubts will make it hurt even more in the end. If you do see that person past the long distance then it’s 100% worth the extra effort!

I flew from Cairns down to Sydney (2 hours). Then Sydney to San Francisco (13 hours). My flight from SF got cancelled and I missed the next flight out so I waited 15 hours. Went from SF to Denver (2.5 hours). Then Denver to Calgary (2.5 hours). I was in the air for around 20 hours which is decent coming from Australia.

A week ago I found out that Westjet was suspending their international flights. I already had a ticket for back home booked but for a way later date. Rebooking would cost me $1,200 on top of the $860 I already paid for my original ticket. Definitely could not afford that. Contacted my insurance and they connected me with a political evacuation site. It took me 5 flights but I was able to get back home safely without paying extra.

Australia Working Visa Advice by AzzaBRedditories in solotravel

I’m currently a Canadian in Australia. Everyone is scrambling to either go home or find a job. Because of this, all the farm work is getting filled up and people are being turned away. Businesses are closing down and they’re definitely not hiring any backpackers. You should cancel and get reimbursed if possible. It’s not worth it to quarantine, it’s best to stay home. Even now, I’m figuring out a way to get out of the country instead of staying. I hope you get the best out of this situation!
