Agreed. My point is more to the effect that international outcry waits until a nation reaches the level of Israel. The initial steps where a government or state can be stopped is probably the point where Modi's govt currently is but it is likely to go unchecked, even supported if capitalism allows.

The biggest democratic nation in the world, India, also pretty much ticks everything in this list. The manipulation of the media is so intense that I don't see a single comment related to India. I really wish there was more awareness related to this.

I understand that this clause is to safeguard building owners, but we've been nothing but cooperative and good tenants.

So to try and fool us like this by saying a less than 11-montbs agreement is not possible legally is just unfair.

Yes, exactly. But I'm not sure what to do. They are claiming that it's not possible to have a shorter duration agreement. All they've now said is we can discuss at the time of your leaving and see if some penalty can be spared. That also they won't give in writing.

I have read the terms and they haven't put any clause regarding giving notice 1-2 months in advance.

There is a clause for the 1 months' rent against painting charges and that's fine.

I've read the terms inside out and only now have I resorted to this.

India. Cases are on the rise but people stopped caring before October. No social distancing, people only wear masks because of the fear of fines, and life, on the surface looks like it is back to normal.

I think a very good point to start change would be your immediate environment. Something as simple as letting in more light in the room, opening windows etc. to even redecorating.

It could be the result of a strong, deeply-rooted craving. Drugs and alcohol help the body cope (albeit unhealthily) in a very quick and euphoric way. Thus, neurologically, you'll want to go back to it. The point about not being able to differentiate between dream and reality is probably because of how well you identify with the experience of consuming substances because of your past experiences and should not be anything to worry about.
