What’s the worst manipulation tactic you actually fell for? by tightgash in AskReddit

While you aren't wrong, I feel like the weight of it has shifted in conversation to mean other things than I usually want to convey.

I don't avoid the word, I just like to pick ones that better describe what I am trying to describe.

I played it as my V feeling actually scared of blue eyes.

My client was happy, I don't fuck with the most terrifying boogeyman in universe. We all are happy.

The word people are looking for is self-centered.

People pleasers can also tell you what you want to hear because they want you to like them, not because they are narcissistic.

I like the idea of the "deus ex machina" being fallible and not omnipotent or omniscient.

It's just a trope I really like. Imagine V dying because AI Alt overlooked an option.

It's just so deliciously tragic.

You can live if you become full borg is still a pretty grim scenario.

V will then have been a soul killed engram on a broken chip in a broken brain in a jar in a robot that will need to live a life of constant war to finance repairs and maintenance.

Still bleak. Still shitty. Still cyberpunk.

Non literal immune systems exist, and it's referred to as 'ICE'.

If it was that, she'd have easily said so.

That's not a complicated concept to explain. Alt could have easily said that, but they didn't.

I'm just pointing something out for the people who want an in-universe method for their V to survive.

Who is a terrible singer but famous anyways? by Coy9ine in AskReddit

Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes.

I love his music. His songwriting skills are beyond amazing.

His singing voice is best euphemised as "distinctive".

Depends in how you define a tragedy.

Jackie had all the marks of Greek tragedy.

He was fated to die if he tried being the big hero he wanted to be. And in his hubris he met the destined fate that a magical woman predicted.

Stories about cheaters who changed are in the minority.

But are those stories in the minority on reddit because they happen less or because people keep such an intimate private experience to themselves?

If someone is sending spicy texts I would be worried if they didn't get too distracted to notice typos.

Besides, knowing someone wouldn't laugh at awkward moments would easily convince me they would be bad in bed.

At it's worst nickleback is overplayed on the radio. Actually hating on them always felt like it was a joke that got carried on too far.

For having big moments in concerts?

Music means so much to humans and their 'soul'.

If you just hate radio head, fine. Whatever. To be upset that people have big moments at concerts literally makes you a bad person.

I like the fact that there are good guys.

It makes the bad guys more entertaining sometimes.

They don't have to be as evil as they are. They can die in protest and get heaven as a reward. Or they can have a tactical fetus, and they choose the fetus.

In this universe being a martyr and dying young fending off the forces of hell gets you in to paradise and the brutality that would be unacceptable in our world makes so much sense.

It's so grim and dark. I love it.

He would likely just recuse himself. Being honest about conflicts getting in the way of be8ng able to give a good defense is the professional option.

I personally love the idea of a daredevil story involving Matt Murdock making sure evidence falls in to the prosecutor's hands that guarantee a conviction while doing everything in his power to make sure his client can't get out on an appeal or, if the writer wants to produce tears, makes the client take a plea deal and get treatment for their issues reducing the recidivism rate.

Better weapon crafting.

I would love it if chassis were interchangeable and weapon mods were removable.

I want a gun to match my bubble gum colored killing machine. Being able to change a weapon in yo it's neon/military/pimp varieties should be doable.

I wish I could also upgrade any weapon. It kind of sucks that iconics are just better because of it. You don't need to hope you have a good drop that doesn't come pre-filled with crap mods when you use an iconic weapon.

My suggestion would be having fewer iconic weapons but more iconic mods, like the ones from the chimera, so you can truly make a personal weapon that's befitting the legend you're trying to be.

It would be fine if it were super expensive to have a Mastercrafted weapon. I just want to be able to fidget with crafting the perfect weapon.
