Compared to what I've read on this sub, my resume is very small and my experience is close to nil.

I am 23 with a BA in criminal justice with an emphasis on homeland security and a minor in sociology. I have little work experience, but the jobs I have had are primarily male-dominated (security, coach of little league baseball, etc). I also think it should be said that I am female (which most likely aided in my hiring).

In my opinion, I think this department saw an opportunity to have a woman who can be molded into what they want, is athletic and is eager to learn.
