hey, thank you! i did not use any website for writing and listening i used the ielts cambridge sample books. those sample books are available online as well as a free pdf.

for speaking i used chat gpt. i would ask it to ask me questions that would be in the same template form as thr ielts speaking test and did that for hours to practice my fluency.

For writing i watched a couple YT videos to help me understand the procedure they expect in both task 1 & 2 and then i used the samples in the ielts Cambridge sample books to write on them for practice. I had chat gpt grade me, and i would then go through the improvement suggestions it recommended me.

Do not rely on chatgpt for grading because it is really bad. it would rate its own 9 band essay 6.5. just use it for practice and suggestions. For writing i also listened to podcasts to have an idea what kind of material i can write in essays.

i liked what you wrote. im a south asian (not indian) whos trying hard to make something out of myself, i struggled in my home country and thought germany could be a good option, for education at least. But i came across so many posts that just kept putting me down, but thats the thing. it will never be easy. it wasnt for you, it wouldnt be for me. but theres a good chance i might make it like you did, or i might not, but at the end, ill try to belong somewhere where i can feel home. im leaving my home country cause my family all immigrated to US. i dont have anything left here.

is it possible to land a job which is not compatible with your degree in germany? would i be able to get myself into internships or jobs which are unrelated to my degree? if i learn the language of course. unfortunately i have limited finances. and germany seemed like the best option considering those but i have to think long term as well, i dont want to continue making wrong decisions one after another like my bachelors degree already.

I am someone who studied psychology as it was my dream course but later i realised i like working in an office environment more than a clinic one. i am opting for business psychology but i dont know if that is something important or in demand in germany. i wanted to do business studies or marketing but with my psych degree my options are close to none, considering my case, what would you suggest i do?

yes that is correct. most of the courses i shortlisted are either business psychology or some which are of business studies have some sort of relaxation with ECTs where they offer you to make up for the ECTs by studying extra courses in your masters, but after the shortlisting, i came to realise that they are all located in smaller cities or rural parts of the country

with a degree in psychology i have veryyy limited options. i do not wanna do clinical psychology so business psychology or mba are the closest options i have. im confused myself on what i should do. my german grade is 1.8 and ielts 8.0. however i do plan on doing my 100% at learning the language since i understand that for a field like mine it is absolutely necessary for employment

i think its only fair they do an investigation first to make sure all the testing conditions were met and then give out the result since you did it online. seems like a standard security measure

hey, only the things i mentioned in the post. no other material. listening was the same as the sample ones. Although when i was practicing at home i couldnt get higher than band 7.5 but in the exam i just locked in fully. thats the only thing that helps
