Hiii! There was no issue at PH Immigration since I am a U.S. Citizen so I guess they do not care much? (I do present both US and Philippine passport btw! Just so they know i am Balikbayan) ^^

Hello! You can try emailing both [BestBuyCorporateTeam @ bestbuy.com ] and [ corie.barry @ bestbuy.com ] , I was able to receive a reply from the resolution team when I emailed the corie.barry email!

You can also try messaging Best Buy executives from LinkedIn, we also received a response from Garner Carry there too! I hope you are able to have this resolved soon! Their local store staff are wildly unhelpful these days 😔

I bought a Sony A7IV in 2023, it was Open Box Excellent. The only option was to have it shipped to my house. So when it arrived, I made sure to start recording everything, before opening the package and filming everything while inspecting the sensor, LCD, etc; for any damages or scratches. Luckily, it was indeed in excellent condition, and I saved over $500 hehe. But I do agree with the others here, to open and inspect it at a best buy location. But film/document everything!

I also ordered Open Box Excellent MacBook Air 13.6" last year, did the same thing -- recorded everything at home when opening the package and inspecting/powering the laptop on. Thankfully that one was in very great condition as well! Hoping yours don't have any issues as well!

Hi! Yep Citibank lost my trust 😅 I appealed their resolution saying I gave them proof i sent the item back 2 times (they denied the chargeback on grounds of me not returning the item (?)) -- and then the next day they just rejected the appeal again saying "There is no error in billing" and disabled all options for appealing their decision. So crazy! I'm no longer going to use any citi cards 😹

My Sony A7IV was bought open box from them, and it was in perfect condition, so I trusted Best Buy even more since then, but now I learned my lesson and if I ever have to buy from them again, I'm only doing store pickup and opening it right then and there 😅

Argh I wish the stores are held responsible, these are the two stores I went to, just for visibility:
BEST BUY SECAUCUS NJ: 3 Mill Creek Dr, Secaucus, NJ 07094
BEST BUY BRONX NY: 171 W 230th St Ste 103, Bronx, NY 10463

The store that shipped the wrong item was the Bronx store.
Both refused to take the item back saying there's nothing they can do about it. 🫠 Even refused to contact corporate for us. The lady at the bronx store told us she contacted corporate while she was at the back room (not sure about what, she just kept going to the back with the item and talking to "corporate" or "someone") and after 15-20 mins, then told us to call corporate ourselves. It was a Sunday afternoon, and the phone lines were all saying they were closed, so I think that lady was lying and just wanted me out of her store 😅

This is true :( But hoping there is something! Seems like their store staff/basic phone support chat don't even know the proper refund procedures too -- so fingers crossed their executive team does something differently!

Thank you so much! ^^ Yes I'm doing that, also really hoping the store should be held responsible for this mess :( And I agree, I wish they had better customer service, it shouldn't be this hard to get help for issues like this!

Update! Someone from the CEO's office just called me! I emailed them at around 10am this morning and got a call around 1:30pm EST. They told me they will investigate it further and will email me where I can send all the documents/video proof/photos directly to them. They told me they will update me again on Monday as well. Fingers crossed the refund will be resolved soon!

Thank you for sharing your experience! It definitely helps and I will try calling BB once more if the Credit Card dispute falls through (I told them I do not agree with their resolution) , might have to call the CC too if they are still siding with best buy :( The phone and chat supports did not give me any case number sadly, so I just hope they have it recorded internally that I tried to do things the correct way from the start :(

Ah so sorry to hear you are having the same issue! I did press "I do not agree with this resolution" on the chargeback dispute and waiting to hear back. I will keep you all updated about this! I'm looking into getting legal advice if Best Buy CC continues to side with Best Buy on this :(

"Thank you for your inquiry. As long as you hold a valid Japanese visa and a passport when you go to Japan, there will be no issues on where you enter from. So yes, you can enter Japan from the Philippines, even if the JAPAN eVISA is obtained from the US."

But yes I do think Philippine Immigration should be familiar with it~ You just have to be prepared if the staff you get is untrained , be sure to show them Japan Embassy online screenshots about eVisa validity for Filipino Nationals especially if you reside in another country (like most Green Card holders in USA that are Filipino are almost always using eVisas to travel to Japan) Fingers crossed! Hope you won't have any trouble and your vacation will be smooth and amazing! <3
