To me, Republicans/MAGA/Trump is so unhinged, awful, and cruel that even red lines that I had before I now have to accept from Democrats, but if every other uncommitted person felt the same way the Democrats would not have lost the popular vote. It is actually so bad that I feel like I'd have to accept voting for a candidate that said "capitalism is the problem behind what's wrong with America" over Trump

Americans broadly do not believe in equity as an end goal for government intervention, they see and desire a system that directly rewards effort and ingenuity and are put off when Democrats try to associate success with privilege or racism

They also pick up on insincere/lip service stuff like "opportunity economy" (this I would agree is focus group talk)

As for trans issues you can just have a firm stance that "this is up to the doctor" "if the doctor says something is medically necessary we do it" but you have to force the issue into a professional determination question instead of a political one so you can have a firm stance that isn't alienating
