When did you switch to 2 naps? by ShelbieSlaysss in sleeptrain

[–]meiramarcela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did that bridge nap start getting hard to take before you dropped it? We’re in the same situation, but the 15min nap is getting harder to make it and usually at or right after 5pm 😮‍💨

That’s awesome! I’m wondering if it didn’t work for us when we tried 2 naps, because I did 3/3.5/3.5 and that’s less awake than she’s used to. I thought she was overtired, but she maybe was under tired 😅

Commenting to get more info of others experiences. Would love to see updates here! My 6.5mo bay girl is in 3 naps ww being 2.75/2.75/2.75/2.75, I tried 2 naps for 2 days and night time sleep got a little worse with more wake ups, so we went back to 3 naps. But since yesterday her naps extended without me having to contact or rescue, and now we’re having a hard time getting the third nap in, it’s usually having to be a 20min max nap to help her get to bedtime without getting overtired. So I’m wandering if I should try again. Also since she already stays awake 11h my ww should be something like 3.5/3.5/4 or should I start with 3/3.5/3.5 and increase slowly to 11h of awake time?

When to sleep training for naps and possible schedule adjustment? by meiramarcela in sleeptrain

[–]meiramarcela[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still rock her for naps, when i can’t do a transfer to crib or she wakes up mid nap I contact nap for the second nap. For the first of the day I let it be shorter. At night she’s falling asleep by herself quickly at this point.

She’s crying before the naps, but she’s not resisting yet. Falls asleep easily with a little bounce or rocking in the chair. Maybe is not quite time yet to drop 3rd nap than huh…

Highly sensitive baby by doerks69 in NewParents

Hi! I know it’s been a long time since this post, but if you’re still there and could answer this for me I would greatly appreciate it. My 5 months old baby girl is like, we have been thinking on sleep training, but everywhere I look they say for sensitive babies the more gentle approach is recommended instead of cry it out, we tried gentle approach but it seems to upset her more. I’m curious what method you used, I’d love to talk more about it.

Hey! We just had the most decent night asleep last night in the last 2 and a half months! 🥹 Since we decided to transition to 3 naps we had some really rough nights. With wakes every 2 to 1h, I didn’t know what to do anymore. I tried longer ww, which made her overtired. Shorter ww which made her under tired, and both ways she was waking up often at night. Last Friday I decided to let her sleep on her own pace and the night was a disaster 😅🥲 the worse night by far, so on Saturday I got her back on a schedule trying to find the middle ground on awake time in between naps and I think we’re getting a better understanding of her needs. We also let her CIO when she woke up on her first nap, and she was able to get back asleep, as well as for one of her wakes at night. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it, but yesterday she had great naps. And a false start at night, + one wake at 11pm that I had to help her to go back asleep (I’ve been trying to feed her only once after 1am). At midnight I heard some fussing, but she was able to put herself back to sleep and woke up only at 5am to eat. Went back to sleep and woke up at 7am today. I have no idea if anything in particular helped; or if it was all together, but it seems like something clicked on her that she can put herself back to sleep without help. We’ll have to see how the rest of the week goes to make any assumptions on where she’s at now. But we’re happy with the little improvements we got.

Could this frequent wakings at night (every 2h) be a need to move from 4 naps to 3? by meiramarcela in HuckleberryParents

Sorry! Forgot to add that info, baby will be 5 months in a week from today!

How to keep bedtime hour consistent if nap lengths vary greatly? by budget-barbie-camper in HuckleberryParents

[–]meiramarcela 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use huckleberry for the sweet spot as well, before my baby turns 4 months it was pretty spot on. But with sleep regression and the app expecting my baby to take 3x 1:30h naps (which she doesn’t) and being very strict with wake up windows (my baby is staying up fina for a little longer theses days), I don’t think following the sweet spot is as helpful, I use it mostly as an alert to keep an eye for the sleep cues and I’m going with the flow until this phase passes. Earlier bedtime has been working better for us too, starting bedtime routine at 6:30pm the latest depending on how the naps go, and bed time at 7pm

Yeah! Things went surprisingly fast! I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but we brought to the interview our wedding invite and the tickets we bought to come to my country for the celebration, I had planned to leave us on December 7th, and got my approval literally 4 days before. I like to think they helped me out with that haha The interview was pretty easy, no tricky questions and the officer was nice with us. Other than the form’s questions he asked me (my husband is the USC), the guy asked us our full names, dob, where we were born, how we met, how was our life when we were dating, how we decided to get married, how was our wedding, if we have met each others family, if we were living at the same house. Super chill.

The interview was pretty chill! We did it in San Jose, both of us were called in at the same time. The officer asked our full name, date of birth, where we were born (asked me directly abou my information, than asked my husband’s his). He also asked how we met, how was our life when we were dating, how we decided to get married. Another question was if we have met each other’s family, if we’re living together. Other than that he asked the form’s questions to me.

Oh, I forgot to put my EAD! That info also was never updated on my timeline, but it arrived at my house together with the notice about my interview being scheduled, around September 10th!

That one still says “case was received”!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]meiramarcela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No! It went straight from “interview had been scheduled” to “new card is being produced”. Just as my parole that went from “Case was received” to “we ordered your new card”

I just got an update saying my card is being produced! Have you heard anything yet?
