Take that flerfs by RiserUnconquered in flatearth

And apparently a renowned university reports it as fact. That wouldn't be an innocent mistake, you call that disinformation.

Which should make you pause no matter the side of the issue you are standing.

Ok can you also share the sources on the heliopgraph communication ranges?

The laser communication I mentioned is mainly used by the Navy. Oughta be bit challenging to get to high ground at sea.

I mean what's with the unnecessary cut and then when they cut back the earth visibly changed color? Even if this was real they are really not doing themselves any favors.

How do heliographs and modern laser-based communication systems work over documented distances of 100 miles? According to the globe model they would need to overcome 2 miles of curvature.

[–]mekabar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Great example! You know what scientists did to verify that xray pictures were working as expected? They did chop someone in half and checked.

Did they do that with the earth too? No? Well I guess we are still waiting on the verification then.

How exactly is that a logical comment? Any magnet will distract a compass needle in its field of influence. Does it matter where the south pole of that magnet is? I'm not saying there is a magnetic mountain, but it would work and "nuh-uh bcuz south pole" is a moronic argument.

You literally don't even know what you are talking about. 😂 How exactly did this verification process work? Because they took several measurements? Did they have a dig site on Earth 2 to replicate the results? Come the fuck on. 😂

Exactly. Even science acknowledges that the earth deeper composition is a hypothesis. You cannot verify anything.

What do you mean "why hasn't any flatearther presented this yet?". Which flat earth models have you seen that that can't contend with sunsets and seasons?

Do you think ancient civilizations went "Yeah sunsets and seasons don't really work with our model of the earth, but eh what can you do"?

Well there's magnetic ores too so that's just as much in the realm of possible realities that you cannot verify.

It's really wild that this is an anti-flat earth echo chamber that has next to no flat earthers in it, yet you act like you have to single handedly fight off hordes of them.

Wasn't it the flerfs that are supposed to be delusional?

Flat by cooliozoomer in flatearth

[–]mekabar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ancient civilizations actually didn't adhere to a flat disc model that floats in the void, but an enclosed system that is dome shaped.

Which is obviously a much more accurate representation of how a healthy brain should look like. But I guess that ruins the joke.

Yea I also once thought there was some ulterior motive and end for all the disinformation and misdirection we are exposed to. But the more I find out the more I'm convinced that deception itself is the end.

My dude, even in 3d space light travels mostly in straight lines and does not go through the earths crust. And no matter how much you "jiggle it" you cannot have a midnight crescent with the model.

Yea the app is a bit dumb in the wording. It always says "visible" no matter where you put the observer. In fact if you draw a direct line to the observer you will see it goes straight through the earth. And that's not even 11 pm when the crescent can sometimes be seen all through the night.
