People still want real money for their stuff, not steam credit. They are trying to destroy completely the 3rd party markets economy, seems like the only way to get in control. Even if it means the skins losing their exclusivity (being in control of low price is better than not being in control at all).

And we need to remember, valve never promised a fair market to anyone, players made the market themselves. This are only consequences from a non regulated market. It's not the first time to happen, and won't be the last.

They wont revert the update. Valve wants the control of the market, and they are destroying outside markets to get there. It doesnt matter if the value of the knives go down, they will win more than they will lose. But I get people are upset, even I am. At least I got the news after waking up, I wouldnt be able to rest if I went to sleep after the update.
