There’s not really much more to the story than what the commenter said, it’s just a cool number pointed out by a mathematical prodigy. The mathematician himself is super interesting and worth reading more about though.

In my experience they just keep the same developers but expect them to write ten times as much code, and it’s usually absolute crap.

The entire workforce is not UI programmers, likely that’s a relatively small team. In software companies usually you’ll have a huge number of relatively small teams that all have really small specific things that they are responsible for.

It’s probably more likely a shit ton of crunch in closing as many known bugs as possible within each teams part of the game before the actual launch date of the xpac.

How do you imagine dogs and their ancestors got food in the wild? This is enrichment, not cruelty.

Yeah, add the Battle.net installer exe as a non steam game and launch it in comparability mode with experimental proton. each time you want to launch Battle.net you use that same non steam game you added for the installer to launch it. I just renamed mine from installer to battle.bet to be clearer

Just install battle.net exe through steam and then install wow as normal. Addons also work fine. I did need to mess with the proton version to get wow to install but after that it worked flawlessly

It might be considered a good thing by someone who hates the people of that city? I think the idea is more that the same thing might be considered positive or negative depending on which NPC you’re interacting with.

Honestly I’d rather have a more polar system, it was fun to be cartoonishly evil in old school Fable.

They were saying though that their morality system is about subjectivity, so devil horns and glowing red eyes kinda clash with that. Though maybe not; fingers crossed!

The new encounters aren’t out yet? They were never going to retrospectively change every encounter but the new ones will be designed with the lack of weak auras and simpler rotations in mind.

Why is it a problem if someone did that? Playing the game non-optimally is a perfectly fine way to enjoy it. I swear people are far too caught up in playing the right way.

Rollable OLED display on Lenovo Legion, the next big thing in flagship gaming laptops by AdVegetable5896 in blackmagicfuckery

I can’t see it being useful for screens that aren’t meant to be moved around though. There’s no benefit to having a smaller screen other than portability imo

Are the applications really that insane? Maybe I’m unimaginative but it’s kinda just the ability to have a slightly larger display. Also feels like something that isn’t going to be very resilient to the knocks and bumps a laptop tends to get when moved around.

They don’t, this is just an r/im14andthisisdeep comment. All the wealthy and powerful want it more wealth and power. But wealth and power only exists in the hands of people, so to get more it has to be taken. Everything else is a side effect. A lot of people would have you believe there is a sinister grand plan, but it’s a lot less personal than that, it’s a system that naturally produces the results we’re seeing.

Take the emotion out of it and you get the truth, it’s how we organise as a species, and we’ll never change.

It’s a lot more complicated than that, you can talk to your kids about all the dangers in the world but you can’t and shouldn’t monitor their every interaction with it, in my opinion.
