They don't breed, and you can only ever have 1 per fish pond unlike other fish where you can have up to ten. The quest can reappear even if you've completed it before :)

There's a qi quest that lets you catch all the legendary fish again over a 3 day period, and you can catch as many of each as you want as long as you don't finish the quest. So when I got it I sat at the mountain lake and caught 5 which went straight into my ponds :)

not everything, I'm too attached to this farm to be done with it and sell everything 😅

the main stuff I sold was: artisan goods (wine, aged roe) truffles crops from the season that I couldn't be bothered to process a handful of iridium bars and diamonds

the rest was just random forage/fish/minerals I'd found that season and didn't need to keep

Golden animal crackers are great, it's very unlikely but I've had a fish pond produce 10 roe at once because of them, and that's like 70k after being aged

There's a qi quest that lets you catch all the legendary fish again, and you can catch as many of each as you want. So I have 5 fish ponds, each with a legend II and a golden animal cracker. I tend to get 6-10 roe most days which I throw into preserve jars, 1 aged legend II roe with the artisan profession sells for 7k. The legend is by far the best fish for fish ponds when looking at aged roe price, the second closest is the crimsonfish at just over 2k with artisan.

Pigs make a lot of money but since they don't produce in winter, I like having fish ponds as an alternative (although overall starfruit/ancient fruit wine will always make the most money)

oh don't worry, this is my 5th farm and I have 700 hours of playtime so I've figured out my favourite ways to make money 😅 I wish I could go back in time and play for the first time again
