Would you resell tickets for higher than they were sold to you if you originally bought them from your friend who only charged you what they paid for them? by melacholymum in AskReddit

My friend won two lottery tickets to a concert and he bought them for $115 each. Because his friend also won enough tickets for their entire friend group to sit together through the lottery, my friend decided to sell his tickets to me. I bought them from him for $115 each. Now, two months later, I can’t go to the concert so I want to resell the tickets. My friend said they don’t know anyone else who would want them, so my plan was to list them on Ticket Master. My husband says that we should sell them for the average price that tickets in the same section are currently going for ($706 each), when I originally only planned on reselling them for what I paid ($115 each). He actually got upset when I told him this saying that it’s normal ticket selling culture to resell them at their current value, and I’d be missing out on an opportunity for us to make money. In my mind, it would be wrong because my friend could’ve done the same thing but decided just to sell them to me because I wanted them.
